Stuck in their ways. Too deep. Tekken 8 isn't for me. I don't think there's a current or future version of this game anymore that makes sense to play. I'm tired of reading that they have the same intentions with every patch. That doesn't work.

"..we implemented adjustments aimed at maintaining each character’s individuality"
Ah yes, Lili the backturned mixup char and Paul the stance cancelling mixup char and Alisa the rushdown char- girl bye
You didn't maintain anything abt their individuality. You erased it.

@blackheart59_ In the event we do get that remaster, R.U.S.H. will cease to be relevant.

@Soupongo @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm "Do you really think everyone should be a top tier animators to make a random ass video ?"
Nobody said this. Instead, pursue your own art journey.
Your pen, your medium, your media, *your effort* is all up to you to decide. Just don't let a machine take your struggle away.
English

@greyskullaaa @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm Why you acting lile youre stupid. Yeah I am using a machine to do the struggle, thats why we create them since forever. Do you really think everyone should be a top tier animators to make a random ass video ? No animator in the world can make shit like this. Its not the goal.

@DATsDAVIS @Soupongo @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm You did not comprehend what I'm saying. I did not say anything about how long it takes. I said you are using a machine to do the struggle for you. The struggle to create something with your blood, sweat and tears is what creates value.
English

@greyskullaaa @Soupongo @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm So, by your logic, the difference between loving or hating a tool designed to achieve the same effect is how long it takes to materialize the creative ideas of someone's mind?
Yeah it may work for you, me, & others who have the time & resources but what about the less fortunate?
English

@DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm "threatened by AI" Shit is not a threat, its shit. Sora collapsed under the weight that nobody gave a shit. Now art made by human beings? Now people care. Watch Steel Ball Run, what a great first episode.
English

@greyskullaaa @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm Agree to disagree. If you feel threatened by AI of all things, then obviously you're not confident in your own work standing above it for it to matter for your target audience.
English

@Soupongo @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm "right from their minds." Nope, you are using a machine to do the struggle of mind to medium for you.
"It would require an insane amount of skill and knowledge"
I suggest you get started sooner than later then. Everyone's art journey is different. You can do it.
English

@greyskullaaa @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm You cant be serious. People are using Sora to make fast semi realistic videos that comes right from their minds. You cant make these types of videos with paper. It would require an insane amount of skill and knowledge. Just to make a shitpost video.
English

@DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm If you want to play in shit, go ahead and play in shit. Be the cattle you always wanted to be. But if you actually value entertainment that one wills themselves into making, you would not be making that statement.
English

@greyskullaaa @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm I do. Everything on my personal channels were done by me. But I don't go out of my way to put hate on AI or the people that want to have fun with it
English

@Soupongo @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm You can also make art tutorials, art history, documentary films, WIPs, up to you really.
English

@Soupongo @DATsDAVIS @UltraCoolGuy25 @OnwuzirikeP2 @DiscussingFilm "Yeah youre right he should pick up a pencil to make videos"

Been reading a lot of people posting about @alcratz's game R.U.S.H (available for free or donation at alcratz.itch.io/rush-proto) and it's been incredible to see the posts, streams and talks people have been having about it.
One main part of the discussions that I've really enjoyed seeing is the reason why people are enjoying such a simplified version of a 3D fighting game with similar traits to Tekken - without the mix-ups, extra moves, stance transitions, and 50/50's. Keeping the focus on strategy of timing, move choice, opponent neutralisation and adaptation, aiming for much less of a mental impact with constant evaluation of an aggressors next move.
The game chooses to ask the question "How do I, in this space, manage my approach and get damage on my opponent without being damaged". I can say I've been enjoying that a lot myself, even fighting people that are magnitudes of ability beyond my own. It feels reasonable for my brain to structure and learn, rather than have to have an ambiguous path of studying my opponents by predicting their next choice probability to have my turn to be the aggressor.
I might be wrong in how I've summarised it, and open to see how other people interpret it. It's extremely captivating to understand the various perspectives others bring to this difference of competitive gaming in this sphere.
While I did join the FGC more in depth during Tekken 8, I'm glad it's spawned ideas and projects such as this identifying what brings us entertainment in fighting games.
