🍺 Reform's Plan to Save Britain's Pubs We’ve gone from 69,000 pubs to around 45,000. If nothing changes, we could be down to 10,000 by 2040. When I visit pubs in and around Newark I hear the same complaint again and again. Bills keep rising. Taxes keep rising. Regulation keeps increasing. It’s making it impossible for pubs to stay open. Pubs do more than provide jobs - they are the beating heart of our country. They bring people together and bring enjoyment to people’s lives. When a pub closes it a social disaster for the community. The Government should be on their side, not constantly making their life harder. That’s why Reform set out this week a huge package of support to save Britain’s pubs, including cutting beer duty, cutting VAT and stopping Labour’s disastrous national insurance hike that’s hurting business. Our plan goes much further than either Labour or the Tories. We don’t have time to waste.
