Best STS2 run so far was a reagent run with the card that gives ⭐️ on every card and the card that does 4 damage for every ⭐️ spent or gained. Killed act 3 boss in 2 turns

SBS wanted to show what even a "small" major like Heat Wave costs, and our financial person was able to put a graph together! TLDR posted a small profit of $155.21, but that money is going to the company handling the money... so realistically we broke even with pay cuts

@richard_normal Tbf the hourglass card that triggers doom is really really good. Only downside is that it can only be on one enemy, but there are some cards that help with that.

my only complaint with STS2 is that i think the doom mechanic is straight up bad. it’s just worse poison, which is already not particularly good.

Just a sequence of problem solving during dev. Can't save the combat state easily so how do we prevent save scumming endlessly. Then turning that into a mechanic that is effectively a once-per-run free mulligan, with an increasing cost for doing it multiple times. Also the first time you do it on a save file, it doesn't give you the warning for it. Solely to try and increase the odds you actually discover the mechanic naturally. When the warning was always there people would never even try it and not learn that you get one free each run.
