@groughgruff
A bit of 🏃 around the Clent hills. Love to walk the hills and mountains. Often using bins and a scope. No camera, all bad photos taken through a scope.

Barwit and Blackwit together on east scrape @RSPBMiddleton. Earlier bird was a different bird.

English

Barwit just left @RSPBMiddleton flew high southeast and not returned. Looks like a different bird to Friday with more red.
English

Speaking to another birder and he heard the call and is also of the opinion they were Artic.

4 Tern high over car park @RSPBMiddleton heading northwest. Buoyant flight and long streamers. Possible Artic Tern.

@pmandrews1973 @carljones57 @andyshawbirds1 My mistake. I thought there was a juvenile a few years ago.

@carljones57 Nice! Trying to think when it was we had one there in the past? 🤔@pmandrews1973

@TerryHinett Thanks Terry. Missed them now but if they’re still there in the morning, I’ll rush across.
English

@groughgruff They were still there at 4pm but i don't know about since
English

@corfielddj @RSPBMiddleton @Staffs_Birds @MercianBirding Looked better in real life but I wasn’t 100% sure. Couldn’t find it again and then one reported from Branston later, so could be the same bird. 👍

Great morning at @RSPBMiddleton. LSW, GShank, Dunlin, CSand, BlkWit, Cuckoo, CTern, masses of Swifts and this sandpiper (scope photo at a distance) Erring towards Wood Sand but opinions welcome. @Staffs_Birds @MercianBirding

English

@groughgruff @RSPBMiddleton @Staffs_Birds @MercianBirding I would agree with Wood Sand. Looks delicate when it walks away from camera.👍
English

@alanbodd 3 were at Middleton Lakes this morning. I last saw them fly over North Pit heading south at around mid-morning.
English

@Birduder344 @RSPBMiddleton It was a good morning at a great reserve.
English

Great visit to @RSPBMiddleton LSW, Cuckoo, Bittern, Yellow Wag, White Wag, Barn Owl. Gropper (H).

English

@stevemothman @RSPBMiddleton The world and his dog know that the woodpecker drums from those trees. It is nowhere near where it nests. People come from all over the UK to see it. If you don’t want to see it. Unfollow!
