Early morning visit to @RSPBMiddleton 4 probable Artic Tern, 11 Dunlin, 5 RP, LRP, 3 Common Sand, 2 Barwit, 1 Blackwit, lots of Swifts, House M, 4 Common Tern, Bittern, 2 Cuckoo. @Staffs_Birds @MercianBirding

Barwit and Blackwit together on east scrape @RSPBMiddleton. Earlier bird was a different bird.

Barwit just left @RSPBMiddleton flew high southeast and not returned. Looks like a different bird to Friday with more red.

Speaking to another birder and he heard the call and is also of the opinion they were Artic.

4 Tern high over car park @RSPBMiddleton heading northwest. Buoyant flight and long streamers. Possible Artic Tern.

@WombourneNature One in my garden yesterday (B17). Saw several in Devon last week.

Another Painted Lady - this one in LLandinam, mid Wales, anybody else seeing seeing them. Is it a Painted Lady year?

Wonderful walk! Cuckoo calling (same 1 as previous yrs I think with the distinctive call), Grasshopper Warbler reeling, Reed. Cetti's. Sedge Warblers, Whitethroats everywhere, Yellowhammers, Common Sandpiper on the mere, & could this be a Hobby, for my 100 species of the year!?

@alanbodd 3 were at Middleton Lakes this morning. I last saw them fly over North Pit heading south at around mid-morning.

The first Black-Tailed Godwit’s for Brandon Marsh,Warks. this year, spent a couple of hours on east marsh this afternoon.
