Groundwork
@GroundworkDSA
DSA members organizing to change @demsocialists from patchwork to mass party. The kind that changes history. A #DSAForAll. 🌹🪴

DSA-NY Co-Chairs @unionGustavo + Grace Mauser both say that this proposal from Hochul speaks to the power of their movement and how they're effecting change in Albany.

For decades, we've been sold the lie that empire advances freedom and keeps us safe. Instead, it's led to violence, instability and a ruling class that reaps the profits but never pays the bill. Today we're releasing our vision for a different foreign policy.

AOC has met our demands. The left of DSA, against a great deal of opposition from the right, has successfully extracted a commitment to support a FULL arms embargo. Pressure works!

BREAKING: At tonight’s NYC-DSA electoral forum, @AOC committed to voting against “any spending on arms for Israel, including so-called defensive capabilities.”

I want to express my deepest solidarity with AOC for taking the morally principled stance, listening to her constituents & her base, and committing to vote against all military funding for Israel. NYC-DSA & @AOC have built a relationship of mutuality & solidarity. Not easy!

This is huge. Not only is this the morally correct position, its the politically correct one too. There is no coalition for president that can be assembled without opposing money for Israeli, apartheid and genocide of palestinians. So proud this commitment was made on a DSA call
