@wes_mur @RivianTrackr For sure. But the vast majority of the chargers on my routes are v3 superchargers. Well I guess that or Electrify American which work 25% of the time. Need IONNA to roll out more.

@gschom @RivianTrackr You would want to avoid superchargers anyway since the speed would be significantly less due to Tesla’s unwillingness to move to 800V. This thing on an IONNA will crush

@RivianTrackr Won’t be a problem once v4 superchargers are more available. But think we are a long way away from that in some more rural parts of the country.

@gschom I always love backing into spots so I prefer it but I understand your perspective.

@RivianTrackr I wouldn’t mind it if I didn’t need to take up 2 spots or park at a creative angle to get the cable to reach

I now use Claude Code with output styles for non-coding tasks and Codex for coding tasks, it's just so good.

Technically, this is discouraged by the documentation: developer.apple.com/documentation/…()#Discussion Specifically this part: Only call this method on views that are part of the active view hierarchy. To determine whether a view is onscreen, check its window property. If that property contains a valid window, it’s part of an active view hierarchy. The window property of a view is nil in viewWillAppear, but non-nil in viewDidAppear.

Okay, I'm loosing my mind over this. I want to, in SwiftUI, have a text field become focused (first responder) WHILE it is being presented as a modal, not after. This is how I would do it in UIKit. Is there no way to do this in SwiftUI?

@gschom I don't think expecting it to be 100% precise is expected. These could be employees, beta testers, who knows.

@RivianRoamer Right, but wouldn’t you expect ALL of the vehicles to be Connect+ until that pool is empty? I only am watching this closely because I have Connect+ and haven’t gotten the update yet 🙂

@RivianTrackr Mine does the same thing on road trips where I’m hours away from charging stations. That…can’t be efficient.

@RivianTrackr @EvSportline Can you do some tests to see if the charger turns off when you exit the vehicle? My understanding is that these OBD ports are always on, and given Rivian’s well known 12 volt issues, I was apprehensive to add anything that might mess with that.

Just finished installing the @EvSportline Dashboard Phone Mount with MagSafe Charger & Plug-and-Play. I had it on my Gen 1 but with Gen 2, you don’t even need to mess with the fuse box. It directly connects to the OBD port to draw power, up to 15W! Link: evsportline.com/collections/ri…

@RivianTrackr For a second I thought you were on 2024.47 and it included a cricket sound while charging (which would make no sense for a holiday update)

@itskyleconner I’ll be making this same drive for Christmas, so hopefully I can compare the charging results with 2024.47 installed 🙏

Truck is already sent back but this is definitely something we need to film asap! Rivian charging, esp on max pack isn’t good, but could have been made worse on this video by a supercharger derate (without the message getting to the “max EVSE current” metric) - would explain why the new truck did worse than the Gen 1 max pack (pretty much the same battery) Still doesn’t change the premise of the video, charging needs to improve along with other issues, but could have been exacerbated by a Supercharger magic dock derate - which is a whole other issue to unpack We will retest at the next available time - thanks @AgingWheels and @ryanhuber ⚡️
Robert Dunn@AgingWheels

@itskyleconner This isn't the first I've heard of superchargers throttling back specifically on Rivian's. Apparently, the max available current number isn't the whole truth. You should investigate if you still have a max pack loaner
