Hi-Yo, Silver, Away! The Cobra OPTM X driver forgiveness is even better than advertised. Almost the entire upper left area of the face (extending even outside the vertical line) is essentially a sweet spot. Toe hits simply refuse to misbehave. Toe it. Pipe it. On target. 💪🎯

@Top100Rick Like divots in the fairway they need to fix this one. “Same mow height” or something like that.

I don’t know how to fix this golf rule and maybe there isn’t a way to fix it. But it just feels so wrong. It can literally be a full or half stroke reward for finding a sprinkler head. Something can be legal and be ethically wrong. That’s what this is.

New additions to my playset and a wedge question for everyone. Was looking to replace my 3 wood with something that flew a bit higher and a replacement for my 4 iron (assumed it would be a 9 wood). End of fitting: Titleist 4 Utility was amazing Callaway 5 wood de-lofted 1 degree Wedge Question: • I want a 54 degree with max bounce what wedge manufacturer makes the maximum amount of bounce?

CUTTER'S COUPLE FROM CHINA So today Cutter gets the random job and it's a couple from mainland China. During introductions, the wife seemed to speak more English than her husband and the husband did convey to Cutter that his English is not good. Cutter returned the remark by saying "your English is better than my Chinese". The round was filled with 'rossed' balls(lost) and 'sank you's(thank you) and Cutter even Rodney King'd the husband on the 3rd hole(overclubbed). As the husband launched his pitching wedge over the green, Cutter said "you caught a flyer!" Husband replies quizzically "a fryer?" Translation was rough throughout the day... ...until after the round, and in perfect unbroken English, the husband says "hey Cutter, do you have Venmo?" What the hell...

@Top100Rick Interesting bag too. X7 irons to 56*, X100 in 60. 12* loft in driver, special double dot PV1X ball. That’s quite a swing and setup there.

I’ve watched this video on replay 10 times now. With sound. Cam Young’s swing is just butter. It’s amazing how much a unique golf swing makes a player more likable. Just makes you want to watch him golf. 350 yards from a full pause. Insane.

A constant thing I hear from people is that the “PGA Tour is dying”. I have no idea where they get that idea, but it’s totally wrong. Ratings are way up last couple years. Ticket sales are great. 200,000 this week at The Players! Losing Rahm, Bryson didn’t move the needle.

Yesterday I decided to do a little gap testing on Trackman (indoors) at the top of my bag and the results were shocking. 5 hybrid - 164 carry 4 hybrid - 181 carry 2 hybrid - 199 carry 3 wood - 191 carry First off, my 3 wood is apparently useless, unless I hit it off a tee and then I pick up 25-30 yards carry. Second, I am 10 yards shorter on carry with my 4 and 5 hybrids than I thought. 2 hybrid is doing what I expected. During my trackman round I played after, I took 1 more club for every shot and hit the most GIR I've hit in a while on the sim, often ending up pin high or just past. Also, I need a new fairway wood. Or do I add a wedge and not carry a fairway wood? For now I'm lofting up my 13.5 degree TSR3 to 15 degrees. But I'm in the market for something new.

@Top100Rick All true but today’s 9w is yesterday’s 7w. Been bagging a 7w for decades now.

A reminder casual golfers should be using 7-Woods and 9-Woods. If Tommy Fleetwood, one of the best ball strikers on earth, thinks the forgiveness of a 9-Wood is worth it…maybe we should ditch our 5 or 6 irons. My 7 wood is gold. Time to try the 9.
