CJ Kayfus underwent surgery on a broken right ankle today as well as a ligament injury.

His bat speed is up almost two degrees this season. No reason to think he is declining.

@boomerguilt Depends what they want? I’m not giving either of those 2 up for a year and a half of Weaver. But an Arias or Chourio centerpiece + volume could make sense

@Emperor1G @nevaRWilliams I mean I wouldn’t necessarily call it a failure. It’s a really bad year but he’s still at a 104 wRC+. Plus at the time he was like a top 30 prospect too.

@nevaRWilliams i think it was more along the lines of " we got an injured AA 1st baseman out of a MLB starting pitcher." Not that anyone cared about Civale specifically. And it hasn't worked out, just as many people said. Manzardo has not panned out as hoped.
