🇧🇷 There has to be a reason why majority of houses in Brazil only have AC in the bedrooms but not in the living room And the living rooms get insanely hot in the summer (which is December-March, opposite of US/EU etc) Literally majority of the Airbnbs we stayed didn't have AC in living room Good thing is they at least have AC in the bedrooms though unlike Europe which doesn't have any AC usually But still not Asia where the entire place is fully 16-18'C ACd in every single room, how it should be!

@DJJazzyJody When I finally go to a dealer, I already have a car and a price in mind. I say ahead of time I'm not doing financing and not buying warranty, which saves time. They'll likely try to sell you on some anti-theft device which costs anywhere between $100-$500, but that's it.

@DJJazzyJody 3. I try to do as much negotiating as possible over e-mail. Several dealerships have online sales team that will give you best prices. I also search online for people's reports of their own sales prices that they got. I ask dealers close by to match them

I have an intense, negative visceral reaction to auto dealerships and car salesmen, so today has been unpleasant. After going to the Costco auto program webpage earlier today, thinking I'd be able to view prices without being bothered, I've received six texts and two phone calls from one dealership — even though I purposely avoided hitting "submit" on a pricing page that I knew would trigger sales calls. I absolutely hate the entire car-buying process and thought the Costco route would be better because the prices are supposedly pre-arranged. Thinking about haggling with a guy who wants to bounce numbers off of his manager in the back makes me hyperventilate and want to continue driving my 14-year-old truck with 200,000 miles on it until the wheels fall off (again!).
