@AntelopeHill Yeah Joel is the extrem example but you could go grab a bag of quinoa, chicken breast, beans or broccoli and have dinner for well under $28. I really don’t sympathize with leftists when the cry about not being about to afford food

@ayalstern Florida is total shit when it comes to mass transit, but hopefully they’re open to change in South Florida

@epaleezeldin All that pervious citrus land will and has already been developed for the most part sadly
English

Over the past couple of decades, citrus greening has been devastating for America’s citrus growers, especially in Florida where citrus production is down 95% since the early 2000s, but the corner has finally been turned with exciting new technology that was just approved by the Trump EPA! I was in Florida yesterday with the state Farm Bureau to discuss the big news. tapinto.net/towns/pompano-…

The City in the Forest is incredibly unique, and I can’t think of another major city in the US that has that similar combo of high rises surrounded by tree canopies on all sides

Love that people have been desentatised enough that when they see a literal jinn or skinwalker the first instinct is to mock and make sarcastic comments to it instead of running for your life

Can you name a Florida town that most people pronounce incorrectly?
English

@Jason______A I’ve had it for 4 years or so and never had a problem. Mostly use my home wifi anyways. I pay 360/yr for unlimited which comes out to 30/mo
English

HOLD UP .... Mint Mobile is like $20 bucks a month unlimited. Can pair it with 5G home internet for $45.
Why am I paying T Mobile $200 for the same thing?
I always thought Mint Mobile was for trap phones in the hood, never knew I could use an iphone with it.
T Mobile owns Mint, so im getting the same exact service for 1/10th the cost....
Whats the catch here?

The reason native americans made mounds that were only visible from 10,000 feet was that Shamans flew while in trance states. Some could put their minds in birds as they flew. This is well known

@stanfordNYC Seems what nydot is proposing is more like what you’d finding Mexico City Roma Norte/condesa than what Boston is.

English

Boston already has this and it basically sucks. It sits cold and empty for a whole half of the year, and even in fair weather is among the worst-utilized land in downtown. A swathe of prime land not used for living, working, commerce, transportation or infrastructure.

@lost_nomad__ Venice 2.0 lmao. Maybe if all of those single family lots got torn down and an actual city was built. But my hopes are low for that
English

America built Venice 2.0 and most people have no idea it exists
Imagine what it could become after another 100 years of population growth in Florida

@KnightedNate They should’ve started with Tampa to orlando first, but I know it would’ve cost more. Also, always thought a HSR would do well down the median of I4 but it seems they’re opting for express lanes

@KevinEspiritu I’ve heard these grow true to seed. I see them all over the place in Florida. I’ll probably grab a fruit one day and start my own
English

I’ve grown loquats for over ten years and am always surprised how unknown they are as a fruit tree…
They produce hundreds of yellowish-orange fruits per year that taste like a tropical citrus peach
Great for fresh eating, but I’ve also turned these into jellies, jams, and even loquat ice cream
Apparently the leaves can also be used as a medicinal tea, but I haven’t experimented with that personally yet
