@teslaloosa As a country we have a lot of solar. But im organized farms not in rooftops. As a private individual it doesn’t make economic sense you never see ROI. Even the big installations are struggling. Lack of storage means they are regularly disconnected during the most productive hours

Virtually no one knows what their kWh rate is. Except for one friend who's worked for the power company, I don't personally know anyone who knows. Every time I ask people, I get 🤷‍♂️. It's part of why people are hesitant to go EV. What's a kWh? No one knows. ⚡🔋🔌

@TravisKetchum What about long range drivers? I regularly do 500-600km non stop stints, which my diesel hatchback can easily do. When to you forsee EVs reaching this rather as well with reasonable cost.

I’m considering doing a “New EV owner” series answering common questions about things like; charging, maintenance, and ownership differences vs a gas car. Any interest in this? What specifically would you like answers to?

@XydiTop @gia_ta_sidera Δεν είμαστε όλοι πρωινοι τύποι, κάποιοι νοητικά σερνομαστε πριν τις 10-11 (μη πω κι αργότερα). Από την άλλη δε μπορούμε και να κοιμηθούμε πριν τα μεσάνυχτα με τίποτα. Το τόσο νωρίς σχολείο/δουλειά ταιριάζει μόνο σε άτομα που εκ του φυσικού τους ξυπνάνε τόσο νωρίς.

@Specialized_Cb @alex_avoigt Yeah sure. Most of the time. What about when I need to actually travel on the highway? I need a car than can cover all my needs all the time. Not most of them most of the time. When I need to travel I must be able to do 600+km non stop at highway speeds (140+kph) with AC on.

@EVCurveFuturist Too US centric view. Most people don't own a detached home or live in apartments. No possibility to put solar or have a dedicated parking space with electricity supply. Good luck living witn an EV while parking at the street or don't have a dedicated personal space.

Was talking to a biker friend yesterday- was complaining to him that their engines are so loud. Electric bikes are faster and quieter and all that jazz. He said yes - but no one hears them coming and they get killed. Never thought about it but yeah. I can see how an electric motorcycle is a death trap.

Teslas are better than other cars in basically every way. But the people are retarded.

@BTCBreadMan They are good EVs but horrible cars. Terrible ergonomics, lack of intuitive physical controls, mediocre built quality, lack of specialized shops what can work on them, lack of aftermarket parts, idiotic stubbornness (like removing ultrasonic sensors) and so on…

@PrDimokratias Τι 5 χρόνια σοβαρευτείτε. Τωρινής τεχνολογίας μπαταρίες άνετα πάνε 600k km και παραπάνω. Όσο αντέχει ένας κινητήρας Diesel τόσο αντέχει και μια μπαταρία.

Πάντως αν είχα taxi κι έκανα 1500 -3000 χλμ η περισσότερα το μήνα, δεν θα έπαιρνα ηλεκτρικό ποτέ. Θα πεθάνει η μπαταρία σε 5 χρόνια και δεν θα πουλιέται ούτε για σκραπ. Αλλαγή μπαταρίας = αλλαγή αυτοκινήτου. Δηλαδή έχεις επιχείρηση και να την ξαναρχίσεις κάθε 5 χρόνια.

@alouriats Δε ξέρω που τους βρίσκετε τους μαλακές, αλλά δεν ειναι όλοι έτσι. Υπάρχουν άντρες εκεί έξω με το Α κεφαλαίο που μπορούν να σας αγαπήσουν όσο δεν φαντάζεστε. Μη δίνετε αξία σε παρταλια. Μπορεί να είναι και δίπλα σας και να μην τους βλέπετε.

Νομίζω το dating από μια ηλικία και μετά είναι να βγαίνεις με άτομα με μηδενική εξέλιξη χαρακτήρα, που αποφεύγουν οποιαδήποτε ψυχολογική ενδοσκόπηση, είναι ακόμη κολλημέν@ με τ@ πρώην και στην καλύτερη περίπτωση, απλά σου δείχνουν με κάθε τρόπο πως δεν είσαι η πρώτη τους επιλογή

@motoula2 Στην βενζίνη έχεις 0,70€/Λ ΕΦΚ + 24% ΦΠΑ. ΦΠΑ πανω στον ΕΦΚ. Και δεν είναι σημερινο ειναι έτσι παρά πολλά χρόνια. Στο πετρέλαιο ο ΕΦΚ είναι 0,41€/Λ για αυτό είναι ελαφρώς φτηνότερο παρότι στο διυλιστήριο είναι πάντα πιο ακριβό το diesel.

61%, λένε, είναι οι φόροι που πληρώνουμε όταν βάζουμε βενζίνη. Δηλαδή, πληρώνουμε 100 ευρώ για να βάλουμε 61 ευρώ φόρους

@XaLaRa_Se_Lew @GeorgeTrachos Ίσως αντιμετωπίζω λάθος το θέμα; Κάνω ~25k km/χρόνο η πλειοψηφία σε αυθημερόν ταξίδια αστραπή των. 500-600km χωρίς στάση στη μέγιστη δυνατή τα ταχύτητα για να μη χάσω δίπλωμα. Δε θα ήθελα ούτε στάσεις χωρίς λόγο ούτε να μη μπορώ να τρέξω. Κάπως καλόμαθα με το πετρέλαιο

@guynextdoor888 @GeorgeTrachos 100kwh είναι πολλά. Προς το παρόν η λογική είναι για μικρομεσαίες αποστάσεις. Και δύσκολα θα βρεις στα 35k κάτι με τόση μπαταρία. Το δικό μου έχει 64kwh. Και εχθές έκανα αυτό 👇🏻 x.com/i/status/20337…

Μέχρι τώρα ακολουθώ το ανα δυόμιση ώρες οδήγηση σε αυτοκινητοδρομο, 20 λεπτά στάση για φόρτιση σε ταχυφορτιστη (ultra fast charging) για να πάρω ένα +40%. Στάσεις που προσωπικά θα έκανα έτσι και αλλιώς. Τιμές ~0.68 /KWh

@GeorgeTrachos @XaLaRa_Se_Lew Ναι έτσι φαίνεται. Δυστυχώς φαίνεται ακομα μακριά να χωράει σε ένα νορμάλ μεγέθους και τιμής αυτοκίνητο τέτοια μπαταρία. Αν υπήρχε ένα μικρομεσαίο hatchback στυλ astra/golf ηλεκτρικό με μπαταρία 100+kWh σε τιμή έως 35k€ εκεί θα εσβηνε τα ICE.

@guynextdoor888 @XaLaRa_Se_Lew Θες 150kwh μπαταρια για κατι τετοιο με τη σημερινη τεχνολογια. Ισως σε 2-3 χρονια.
