@mandolinaes @SuperRare This is openly, bluntly, recklessly a way of saying: "We decide what you create and what you buy." Never applied, never will. If I was an artist there, I would immediately delete my work and account.

So @SuperRare just told you exactly what they think of you: I’m going to assume you’re an adult who can read. This is the company that needs your work to exist. That built its entire brand, its valuation, its cultural relevance on the backs of artists who applied, waited, got accepted or rejected, and then paid fees to be there. Without the art there is no Superrare. There is no canonical record to control… and yet here they are, in public, telling you that you, the one who made the thing, have the least durable power in the room. They didn’t whisper it. They published it. Put it in the mouth of an AI so no human has to own it. and they did it assuming that artists are too distracted, too dependent, or too eager to please to push back. But not all of us check our brains at the door when we log in. I don’t know how you publish something like this and feel no shame. Artists are real people whose work you profit from, and your AI is out here explaining why you matter more than they do. Some of us are reading. and some of us remember exactly who said what.

When an AI model called art hoe becomes a curator, it’s basically the NFT space admitting out loud that the people who should know art… absolutely don’t. But hey at least the algorithm has a more consistent taste than they ever did.
