Both sides are tricked into caricaturizing each other- the left thinks the whole right wing is Ted Cruz and the right thinks the whole left wing is Dylan Mulvaney. In reality the vast majority of regular Americans on both sides are regular and reasonable people. Most people on the left are completely unaware of all the worst and most diabolical fringes of their party. And in my experience- most difference of political opinions is just either side being fooled by their sides propaganda and not having the time to do the research for themselves. The right and left represent two haves of a whole- either one taken to the extreme is destructive- and right now we have both taken to the extreme and intentionally penduluming to keep us all at each other’s throats. What we need is balance, conversation, and solidarity between the rising right and left wing populist movements in the US (and around the whole world)
Candace Owens@RealCandaceO

We need to continue to fix the fracture between the left and the right. We now know what true evil is. It is us against the Epstein class and warmongers.

How is it that the LLMs get things wrong constantly, the very simplest things, and make stuff up pretty much nonstop, yet they are said to be hurtling unstoppably toward god-like power -- if they haven't secretly achieved it already? Is this a con job?

Some words have completely lost all meaning: Nazi: a person who disagrees with the left. Fascist: a person who disagrees with the left. Racist: a person who disagrees with the left. Pedophile: a person who disagrees with the left. King: a person who disagrees with the left.

Mr Luxon was recently asked his views on President Trump's warning that US forces would "shoot to kill" to stop Iran's paramilitary vessels from laying mines in the Hormuz strait. The NZ PM supposedly heads a center right coalition. So why do his responses to such questions always sound like they have come from far left leaders? Like Keir Starmer (UK), Anthony Albanese (Australia) or Mark Carney (Canada) and so many similar leftists from the European Union? What President Trump actually said was- “I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be, that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.” So what's the problem with the "rhetoric"? Mr Luxon seems to find that more offensive than the Iranian mine laying. Leaving aside that the regime has murdered and tortured a reported 40,000 of its own citizens whose crime was to demonstrate for democracy. Luxon utters no condemnation of Iran. Just weak calls for de-escalation that smell of spineless complicity. Its not even logical. If he wants oil tankers to resume sailing through the streets of Hormuz, surely stopping Iran from laying mines is going to help? I try not to be too critical of Mr Luxon, but he doesn't make it at all easy.

ACT New Zealand
ACT New Zealand@actparty·
𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 ACT is welcoming cross-party support for a motion condemning antisemitism, after a survey revealed a new high in antisemitic incidents in New Zealand in 2025. The Antisemitism Worldwide Report notes 143 antisemitic incidents in New Zealand in 2025, compared to 131 incidents in 2024, 134 in 2023, and eight in 2022. All parties in Parliament today approved a motion without notice presented by ACT, stating: “That this House condemn all incidents of antisemitism in New Zealand, and affirm that antisemitism has no place here.” “A democratic society works through disagreement with free speech and open debate – not with violence, intimidation, and vandalism,” says ACT Leader David Seymour. “Of course, overseas conflict will stir strong feelings and disagreement. But we do not need to accept imported hatred. “New Zealanders all have something in common – we or our ancestors have crossed thousands of miles of ocean to build lives together at the bottom of the world. Whatever our differences in religion, ancestry, or worldviews, our strength as a nation depends on basic respect for each other as neighbours and equal citizens. “Too often, antisemitism is dressed up or explained away when it should simply be condemned. “A free society depends on clear rules. You can say what you like, believe what you like, and criticise who you like, but you do not get to threaten or target people for who they are. Parliament should be crystal clear about that, not because words alone solve the problem, but because clarity sets the standard. “Today's stand reaffirms the kind of country we are, one where everyone lives under the same rules, with the same rights and the same protection.”

I made this meme in 2024. Some of us have held our positions consistently no matter which party was in power. The irony? The right used to LOVE my anti-war memes. How quickly things devolved into tribal nonsense as soon as Republicans were in power.

@SimeonBrownMP It's also an attempt to undermine Trump so the European empire they're loyal to doesn't lose its important war and chaos agent - the Islamic regime. Undermining Trump politically is the only way the Islamic regime can win.

Awful politics from Labour. Despite NZ’s fuel stocks remaining within normal levels, they are continuing their scaremongering campaign regarding a serious issue. Labour has purposefully omitted the fact that an additional 25 days of diesel is also on its way to New Zealand. Fluctuations are normal as ships come and go, and fuel levels are roughly the same as they were a month ago. Kiwis deserve better than a Labour Party actively catastrophising an issue and putting unnecessary fear in the minds of Kiwi families.

The regime in Iran can't be negotiated with anymore. It consists of several factions, all currently fighting for power. Only one of these factions (Ghalibaf, Araghchi) is willing to talk with Trump, the rest want this faction gone and probably dead. Trump is likely starting to realise the "regime change" wasn't a regime change at all. Not only that - the people he's negotiating with don't have any decision making power at all. What else can he do but destroy them all together? Maybe on some level he's beginning to remember why he went into Iran in the first place - to help the Iranian people currently beint mass executed and arrested under the ceasefire and blackout. Now, his only option is to eliminate EVERY SINGLE regime figure because they have proven impossible to deal with. Which by the way will be a lot easier now that all the IRGC freaks and the mullahs came out of their holes and can be easily tracked. And of course, both Israel and the US have resupplied and sent more military into the region the whole time. The apocalyptic death cult may get its wish for apocalypse VERY soon.

You know what’s the closest country to Israel in population? Papua New Guinea. Not joking. Nearly identical number of people. Imagine if our entire foreign policy was structured around Papua New Guinea. If there were people who were Papua New Guinea First all over Congress and media. And we had given Papua New Guinea over $300 billion and people were saying it wasn’t enough! That we had spent $8 trillion on wars supporting Papua New Guinea and people said we needed one more war for them! And if you ever criticized our ludicrous support for Papua New Guinea, everyone in media would call you an anti-Papua New Guineaist and said no one should ever talk to you again. Now, you’re beginning to see how absurd our support for Israel is.

This. Trump will go down as the golden presidency. The strategising of this term, and I doubted early on, is out of this world insanely genius. Every chance now of a singularity boom trade/economy in USA. Energy, AI, robots, quantum, low Earth orbit, an inter-planetary economy with no limits. Abundance.
Clandestine@WarClandestine

There’s just no way Trump could be pulling all of this off on a whim. China and Russia turned their backs on Panama, Venezuela, Iran, and Cuba, and are doing nothing while Trump secures a massive chunk of the world’s energy supply lines. Do you think that’s an accident? There are two scenarios. Either China and Russia were not informed Trump was doing this and they are simply too afraid to cross the US MIL, or, they are at least somewhat in the loop, and have agreed to stand down in exchange for something. The first option would be insanity, and would be a threat to both national and global security. Our military is the most powerful on the planet by far, but pulling off this maneuver without backchannel deals would be dangerous, and risk WW3. This is not Trump’s modus operandi. Trump likes to win battles before he fights them. He likes to have the deals made before he acts. By the time the public see something rolled out, the outcome has already been decided. I think Trump has secret deals in place with both Xi and Putin. I think they agreed to stand down while Trump completes the “world’s most powerful reset”.

Watched Jacindas "award winning" doco. There's nothing special about the film to garner an award. What the film does tell you though is that Jacinda was completely out of her depth, never wanted the job. Couldn't handle juggling a newborn and the job, and was a pathological liar.

@aniobrien Thomas Sowell's view: Success is based on prerequisites, all of which have to exist before there is success. The causes are cultural, and due to human grouping behaviour, outcomes tend to fall along ethnic lines. Genetic determinism and discrimination are both not the cause.

"Māori and Pacific young people hold drivers licence's at much lower rates than their Pākehā counterparts" - What are the reasons for this that cannot be explained by class/economic analysis? If it is literally about race, what is it that causes the lower rates? Culture? Attitude? What one half of their ancestry did to the other half? I am not saying the disparity doesn't exist, I am just questioning if it is a race thing or a economic thing. rnz.co.nz/news/te-manu-k…

Marae have operated as important community hubs for assistance in crises. That is why many of them receive funding from the govt. The attitude below is very worrying. Any community centre or marae that receives funding to help in emergencies should not be able to turn away any NZer, especially not based on who they vote for. Never mind it is a breach of Human Rights Act & Bill of Rights Act.

The Islamic regime, has now unleashed its so-called 'Army of Imam Mahdi’, these rabid, wild beasts, upon innocent defenceless people in the streets, so they can vent their rage and deep humiliation from the defeats they've suffered in the war from US and Israel We will take Iran back from this army of dementors and orcs. Not immediately but definitely. #MIGA
