A semicolon is used instead of a comma and a coordinating conjunction (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so -- remember FANBOYS)
Instead of:
I like coffee, but I don't drink it every day.
you can write:
I like coffee; I don't drink it every day.
Papii🥤@ammalusty
I've never used a semicolon with 100% confidence.

FACT CHECK: Did Kano Government Distribute Underwear To Women As Empowerment Gifts?
Image Verification (ELA Analysis)
Error Level Analysis (ELA), a forensic technique used to detect image manipulation, was applied to the viral images.
In a typical, unedited image, most areas show similar levels of brightness or “noise” because they are compressed uniformly.
In the suspected doctored image, a noticeably brighter patch appears on the pants.
This inconsistency suggests that part of the image was edited or inserted separately before being recompressed.
In the original version, brightness and noise levels are more uniform across the same area, indicating no alteration.
In simple terms, the bright patch in the viral image is a red flag, suggesting that the photo was tampered with.
Further forensic checks confirm that the original image was altered to insert the image of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, creating the false impression that he personally distributed the underwear.

“Remove immunity. Monitor the powerful. Follow the money.”
Back in 2007, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua proposed a bold anti-corruption plan—scrap immunity for top officials and introduce independent monitors to track assets, bank accounts, and wealth of those in power.
Nearly two decades later, his words still hit hard.
Nigeria doesn’t lack ideas. It needs the will to act.
— Yar’Adua (Sept. 2007)

After decades of systematic, vicious and widespread demonization of Iran by Israel-affiliated media, think tanks, and coordinated online accounts, the U.S. president begins his statement with: “whether people like Israel or not.”
This war has exposed the reality. The American public is beginning to understand Iran more clearly, while seeing Israel’s true face, unfiltered.
And the course is now irreversible.
