Agree 100% @TiborPNagyJr. It’s impossible to ignore the deep contradiction—openly praising Isaias Afwerki while choosing to live in democratic societies that guarantee the very freedoms denied back home in Eritrea. This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s part of a broader system of silence and control. The regime doesn’t only repress its people inside Eritrea; it extends its reach globally through transnational repression—intimidating, monitoring, and attempting to silence Eritreans in the diaspora who dare to speak out. Meanwhile, some abroad amplify propaganda while enjoying free speech on platforms like X—a freedom Eritreans inside the country don’t even have. That’s exactly why the #BlueRevolution matters. It represents a growing movement of Eritreans—both inside and outside the country—who are rejecting fear, rejecting dictatorship, and demanding accountability, justice, and basic human rights. It’s about breaking the cycle of intimidation and exposing the truth, no matter where it comes from. You can’t celebrate oppression from a distance while benefiting from freedom up close. The Eritrean people deserve better—and the world is starting to see through the contradictions. #BlueRevolution #Eritrea #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJTerror #RegimeChangeInEritrea

Tibor Nagy@TiborPNagyJr

I shake my head at Eritrean diaspora which sings the praises of dictator Isaias. If he's so great, why don't they go home to his "paradise" instead of staying in corrupt West? Of course, in Eritrea, they couldn't insult people on X due to no internet. Isn't hypocrisy wonderful?!

It was a sacred and humbling honor to accompany Mr. Habteab Yemane on that day and to be a voice for my spiritual fathers men I did not know personally, yet men through whom the mystery of Christ was revealed to me. Through their stories, I came to encounter not an abstract faith, but the incarnate Christ, present in obedience, suffering, and faithful endurance. In their witness, I saw the pattern of Christ’s own life: the self-emptying (kenosis) of power, the choice of faithfulness over self-preservation, and the silent strength of truth that does not defend itself with force. Like Christ before Pilate, they were stripped of voice, freedom, and recognition, yet not of dignity. Their suffering became a form of proclamation a living confession of the Gospel. From their lives, I learned that the Cross is not a symbol of defeat, but the place where God’s faithfulness is fully revealed. Their imprisonment taught me that Christ is most present where human dignity is denied, and that God’s justice often unfolds not through immediacy, but through steadfast hope. In them, I saw a faith shaped by resurrection hope a hope that trusts God beyond visible outcomes. Though unseen and unheard by the world, they participate in the redemptive suffering of Christ, bearing witness that love is stronger than fear and truth stronger than violence. Their lives taught my generation that to follow Christ is to enter into His suffering, trusting that every hidden seed of faith, planted in darkness, will rise in God’s time. Through them, I learned that Christ is not absent from prison cells or silence, but fully present crucified with the oppressed, faithful in abandonment, and victorious even when the world sees only loss. Their witness continues to form my faith, teaching me that resurrection begins in surrender, and that no chain can restrain the living Word of God.

🇨🇭 Switzerland must take urgent action – we cannot allow the dictatorship's pervasive propaganda to thrive within its borders! What might be superficially labeled as “cultural festivals” are, in truth, insidious propaganda tools employed by Eritrea's oppressive regime. These events are often orchestrated by the Youth of the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (YPFDJ) alongside embassy officials, serving as a platform to disseminate hatred, glorify militarism, and raise funds to support the dictatorship's agenda. During these festivals held across Switzerland, disturbing scenes unfold: participants don military uniforms, evoking a sense of combat readiness, and wield objects resembling weapons, while regime-affiliated artists passionately promote messages of war and vilify any opposition. Meanwhile, exiled Eritreans face the grim reality of being coerced into paying a 2% “diaspora tax,” with ominous threats directed at their families still living in Eritrea. It is utterly unacceptable for a dictatorship to exert its influence and suppression in democratic societies. Switzerland has a moral obligation to champion human rights and take a firm stand against these events that undermine freedom of expression and endanger the safety of exiled Eritreans. #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda @beat_jans @KapoGR @BR_Sprecher @ignaziocassis @martin_candinas @spschweiz @SVPch @BernerZeitung @AargauerZeitung @tagesanzeiger @Blickch @keller_sutter

Children in #Eritrea face unimaginable hardship: conscription at a young age, denial of education, and restricted freedoms. Sophia Tesfamariam, who defends these violations, now represents @UNICEF. Sophia Tesfamariam’s appointment calls into question the @UN’s commitment to accountability. How did someone who justifies #Eritrea’s brutal policies pass vetting for a leadership role in @UNICEF? #TransnationalRepression #BlueRevolution #NoMorePFDJTerror #RegimeChangeInEritrea @OfficialDBecks_t @LEGOfoundation @IKEAFoundation @amnesty @Refugees @UNICEFSupply @save_children @WorldVisionUSA @PlanGlobal @BBCWorld @cnnbrk
