I don't really have a dog in this fight but I prefer grain finished over grass finished because of the lack of gaminess and taste consistency.
Marketing "grass finished" is working. Grass finished is cheaper. The cattle are harvested off the pasture.
When I was a kid, sale barns were overwhelmed in the fall and in late winter, the meat at the grocer was usually frozen. Overwintering costs drove the fall market.
I haven't been involved with raising corn or cattle for almost 60 years but I enjoyed both.

The South did not secede to "preserve" slavery from a threat of federal abolition, because, as the 1860 Republican Platformand the Corwin Amendment prove, no such threat existed. Instead, the primary documents show the South seceded to uphold the Constitutional compact and to protest the North’s unconstitutional violations of existing law.
