"People think accountability means blame.
It doesn't mean blame.
Accountability means holding yourselves to the standard that you guys deem to be important.
And, if it's important, you will point it out to a teammate when he is not doing it to the best of his ability." @JayBilas

Social media trains us to compare our lives instead of appreciating who God made us to be.
“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.”

Such a great camp! Mine love it and can’t wait!!! My favorite is the daily life lessons they emphasize. Not to mention that the ENTIRE team and staff are always there. This program cares about its community!

@CoachHackGO I would love to hear more about your application. Do you have one?

@CoachHackGO We do our 10K Shots Made Club. We use a Google Sheets doc that I created, every girl and parent has access to it. Last year we broke our program record with over 470,000 Makes (we had 20 girls get 10K) and have led the Section in FG % and 3FG % the last 3 years.

Did you know…that this weekends women’s Final Four tickets sold for double the price of the men’s, averaging $2,323? Let’s stop & celebrate the great sport of basketball and the impact that girls can have to play this great sport!

9 Lessons from March Madness Underdogs We Can All Use:
1) They live by the mantra: Believe or Leave
2) They use their timeouts to calm down, rest, and/or strategize… not to ruminate over mistakes or live in the past.
3) They break the entire game down into mini, 4-minute games. They only aim to win ‘the next 4 minutes’… not the game.
4) They don’t worry about the play that just happened, they are focused on The Next Play (the one in front of them).
5) They have incredible Bounce Back ability (they respond well after a turnover or missed shot).
6) They know basketball is a rhythm game. Their team’s goal is to ‘establish ours and disrupt theirs.’
7) They live off of momentum… and they create it by doing the little things: boxing out, sprinting the floor, making the extra pass.
8) They acknowledge that it doesn’t matter WHO scores, all that matters is that WE score.
9) They are crystal clear on what they do well and what their strengths are… and they stick to their game plan.

Kids Need Great Sports Parents.
- How do you become a great sports parent?
- What do great sports parents do?
Here is a list of 11 things...
1. They Cheer for ALL: Great sports parents support the entire team. They cheer for all players, even when their child may not be playing.
2. Encourage Positive Attitudes: Great sports parents foster a positive attitude in their children, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, resilience, and a healthy mindset.
3. Emphasize Effort Over Outcome: They teach their kids that effort and improvement are more important than winning. They promote a growth mindset and the value of hard work.
4. Respect Coaches and Officials: Great sports parents show respect towards coaches, officials, and opposing players, setting an example of sportsmanship and fair play.
5. Supportive Presence: They attend games and practices, showing support without putting excessive pressure on their child. They create a positive environment for their athlete.
6. Communication: Great sports parents listen to their children's concerns, provide constructive feedback, and engage in open dialogue about the sport.
7. Teach Time Management: Balancing academics, sports, and other activities can be challenging. Great sports parents help their kids develop good time management skills to excel both on and off the field.
8. Promote Healthy Habits: From nutrition to rest, they emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to optimize performance and overall well-being.
9. Celebrate Achievements, Big and Small: Whether it's a game-winning goal or a personal best, great sports parents celebrate their child's achievements, instilling confidence and motivation.
10. Teach Resilience: Sports come with ups and downs. Great sports parents teach resilience, helping their children bounce back from setbacks and learn from failures.
11. Instill a Love for the Game: Ultimately, great sports parents cultivate a genuine love for the sport, focusing on the joy of playing rather than external pressures. This passion can last a lifetime.
Our kids need great sports parents!
Be this parent for your child.
