@mlstrat I think partners and friends can also help with this. Letting them know that you’ve done X, and allowing them to help celebrate you is good. I struggle with all of this, so I’m just kind of thinking out loud…
@mlstrat Are you able to identify them as accomplishments in the moment or ahead of time? If you are, schedule something fun in your calendar as a treat yourself for that accomplishment. Maybe after doing that for yourself for a while, it will come more naturally.
@subnomnomnom Last Christmas we spent a similarly uncomfortable meal with some of my husband’s work colleagues, where the wife of one of his coworkers went on and on about vaccines, and church, etc. You’re out there doing the lord’s real work 😮💨
@fodderyfodder When you find out more a few months from now, I hope you’ll update us. This is so bizarre. Like I know the PD is strapped for cash, but I can’t envision them not paying for “enough” prosecutors such that they’d have to/be allowed to deputize someone like that 🤔
@shaydeofgold Honest to god, I cannot remember what we did prior to getting married… but we lived together and everything. Now we have a joint account. But I don’t think we were sending money back and forth 🤔 I think we had some bills in each of our names and it just kind of evened out.
I’m serious. How do you pay household bills without a joint account? Do you just divvy up the bills or are people venmoing their spouse for the water bill???? I need to know.
