@danielgoyal @theAliceRoberts surely there is a _certain_ amount of benefit to being able to interview potential doctors and choose one that you feel you gel with

Wondering if anyone has ever attempted ranking famous musicians by their basic human qualities? Thought sparked by listening to Van Morrison, who pops up behaving badly in a number of music books. Contrast to George Michael and Elton John, the opposite. Who else is good or bad?

@ProfTimBale @RoryStewartUK I thought that it was the identity cards issue that finally sunk Labour's 2010 General Election hopes. The politics has changed but can understand why they might be hesitant to repeat the exercise

I wonder what's stopping Labour pledging to bring them in? a) Heartfelt liberalism; b) Fear of offending socially-liberal members and voters; c) It was Tony's idea; or d) all of the above? thetimes.co.uk/article/rishi-…

@PeteWishart @snp but this seems more like a food technology story: Peruvian farmers change variety of Blueberry so they can grow during more of the season, eroding Perthshire farmers competitive advantage

This is where cheap food imports takes us, and more of this will be coming in the race to the bottom to secure further post Brexit deals. I will be leading for the @SNP on a debate on food security in the Commons today. You can bet this will feature. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla…

I’m pretty low at the moment. This has been coming. I felt it growing within me over the last few days. It doesn’t help to have tough decisions about forward progress. The forecast is for strong winds for a considerable period of time. I think I’m hunkering down in all senses.

@warmatters @chrisgreybrexit Did it really start with the referendum though? Or did it start with Osbourne austerity? Which started as reaction to the financial crisis. Which itself was a result of millennial euphoria at eliminating boom and bust...

I'm not lying, I'm rattled for sure at the state of the country. I don't fear Johnson, he would make the conservatives a far greater laughing stock than they already are which is hard to imagine. He is the one I fear the least. He's deeply unpopular
Bea Johanssen@bea_johanssen

@jessphillips My, you're spending an inordinate amount of time lying, spinning and smearing today. You're clearly rattled. twitter.com/GuidoFawkes/st…

Third attempt at the Rings of Power. I really, really wanted this to be good, but. If you gave an infinite number of Americans an infinite number of typewriters and a copy of Henry V in simplified English you still wouldn't come up with anything quite this shit. CC @colken16

QUESTION: At what point did Walkers become the crisps of choice ahead of Golden Wonder? When I was a kid, in the 80s, Golden Wonder was King or have I got that wrong? Have Walkers always been top dog?

@trishgreenhalgh @drcotovelo Ignoring the antibiotics nonsense, wouldn't it be valuable to give pharmacists greater powers to diagnose and prescibe for minor ailments? Taking some pressure off GPs
