Two sets of designers right now Set 1: - still thinks Figma is the primary tool - “AI is a bubble. it’ll burst. things will go back to normal.” - Their workflow is “proven”, so no need to upgrade. - years of experience = seniority. - code is dev’s job. Structure is pm’s job. I’ll just make pretty screens. Set 2: understands that the interface of design has shifted. they’re: – spending time in IDEs, not just frames – comfortable with github, apis, vercel – reducing handoffs instead of defending them – thinking in code, not just decorated screens – designing systems that actually ship – blending with eng + product instead of waiting for tickets – actively redefining what “designer” means in 2026 This isn’t about tools. It’s about proximity to execution. The closer you are to shipping, The more leverage you have. One group is protecting a title. The other is compounding capability. Choose wisely!

We built this tool for ourselves — the ones who care about M-dash and who feel sad when the details we carefully crafted get deprioritised. Now we don’t wait for backlog #1031 to resurface during sprint planning. We don’t pray that the AI picks up the exact padding either.
