Rashtian family were our neighbors growing up in Isfahan, Iran. The uncle was a colleague of my father in Isfahan Un. of Tech. Grandfather was a famous artist. Their 23 year old daughter Sahba was shot in the protest. Her mother's voice at the funeral shatters one's heart.

@NicoleGrajewski @websterkaroon Carter used “dear” (feeds into aziz vs azizam debate) as a salutation and “Chairman” for Khomeini’s title (Trump used “your excellency” and “Chairman” for Jun Un). Cotton’s 2015 letter to Iran was more of a, “to whom it may concern”.

The article referred to other sources, such as local rallies organized by pro-MEK crowd, and left out other notable details. Such as, monarchist organizer’s using rallies to campaign against her & demonize her.
