Having kids is truly magical like that in my experience. You slowly realize they are the only thing that can make you truly happy. You stop wanting things the same way for yourself, and just want to do things to give to them the best life possible because their happiness is what makes you happy. It guess it makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint, but if I’m in the right frame of mind witnessing their joy is numinous.

This is so much fun! @ChatGPTapp Codex and @threejs just keep on giving. Kid an I keep prompting away to make jellingstone.com better. actually starting to feel like a playable game! Can you beat the evil Jarl Skarde? Today we added a nemesis boss who comes on the 4th raid, barrakcs and warriors you can build, a bunch of new buildings, better graphics on existing ones, refined resource economy, much better build system, tutorial guide on first play and a lot more. oh...and Harrald can die now! #vibejam

@levelsio @timsoret @threejs @mrdoob > open source and fully free Key piece of why the models are so good at it imho. There has always been benefits to open source, but with the advent of our new robot overlords more important than ever before.

For the second year, @levelsio has organized the Vibe Jam, and I am jury. I think what he's doing is important: 1. Games are intricate software puzzles with the multiplicative complexity of hardcore engineering x creative problems. 2. While AI is now incredibly helpful in most disciplines like legal, programming, healthcare, maths, chemistry, and physics, they aren't great for large creative problems like making games yet. 3. Which is why I think the Vibe Jam is becoming an important yearly benchmark to appreciate progress in the field. Each game submitted has to be 90% AI. 4. Yes, don't expect masterpieces, it's still slop & very far from what gamedevs currently achieve, and that's the point: to measure the trajectory of this tech & the growing accessibility of games development. It's my way of staying ahead of the curve, and particularly relevant to my work, The Last Night (@TLN_Game).
@levelsio@levelsio

And.....✅ DONE! The Vibe Jam of 2026 sponsored by @cursor_ai + @boltdotnew + @heyglif + @tripoai is officially closed 🕹️ 945 games submitted 🛝 242,212 players 👁️ ~12 million views on X Now me and @s13k_ will start the judging process, probably pre-vetting games first with some help from AI (like if the games load at all) and then they go on to all the judges I want to thank everyone who participated! ❤️ There's only 3 cash prizes but even if you don't win, I hope you all had fun creating things, which is the best part of AI for me, it lets me create things I could never have dreamt of making before It's already clear to me from the submissions that AI's ability to help you create beautiful and fun games has progressed a lot, last year's games looked clunky and basic, this year's games are starting to look like stuff you could find on Steam There's no specific deadline for when judging is done but we'll try to be as fast as possible, last year it took 2 weeks I think! THANK YOU!!!

New toy for commuting and it’s fun. I feel like gravel bikes for all the hate they get are a great compromise if you don’t want to own multiple bikes.

In jellignstone.com there is a Troll encampment North of the village, and they dont like us hunting in their woods and cutting down trees. Fortunately they are pretty slow...but if you get close you better be strong. The villagers want it dealt with though... #vibejam

@naval Agreed, not long until UI is simply generated directly by the model. The model really only needs a basic OS level harness for I/O at the end of the day

@liampoli @levelsio @threejs @colyseus Super Awesome!! Which model are you using? I thought briefly about having an in game way to have a model generate building assets or customize skins for my game…but like the apis are kind of expensive to let players prompt away at their discretion 😅.

Been meaning to checkout @ssh_exe_dev, which looks fun for getting things up quick. Fly.io or GCP cloud run, or AWS lambda honestly are pretty quick to get fastapi server up with a simple docker image (I’m sure Claude or codex can one shot everything from your code to thing being live).

Chat .. i have a bunch of python scripts that perform things like sprite edits etc and i want to host it and serve via typescript based front end like vite/next What’s the easiest way to host the python stuff ? I used to do a fastapi based uvicorn server and run on a self hosted AWS but feels heavy handed .

🤣 this is getting ridiculous. My wife loves playing words with friends with the kids and me… but I can’t stand the adds and the spamy UI. Literally took less < 30min for @chatgpt codex to create a fully playable online multiplayer version of the game and deploy it on @Cloudflare…I spent the most of the time promoting to get colors to look nicer. If you like scrabble / words with friends you can play for free here: …ds-game-api.thomas-hansen.workers.dev
