@seanmdav Make this make sense: "cuts the American public in for a share of its massive computing profits" AND THEN "pays reparations for all the business and lives they destroyed with their commie nonsense over the last decade". Dude ~ pick a lane ~ you can't have both.

When Big Tech 1) demands and then funds all the nuclear reactors needed to power its digital global surveillance operation, 2) brings in its own water instead of depleting rural aquifers (its backers claim it’s a “closed loop” water system, so it’s just a one-time investment they’ll need to make, and I see no reason they can’t use seawater and make the choice to fund any desalination and delivery infrastructure), 3) agrees to hire only American workers for American data centers, 4) cuts the American public in for a share of its massive computing profits, and 5) pays reparations for all the business and lives they destroyed with their commie nonsense over the last decade, I’ll be open to the idea of letting them build out data centers in the U.S. Until then, they’re the exact same bunch of communists who funded BLM, censored Americans from telling the truth about basically anything, deplatformed their political enemies, and offshored American jobs until they were allowed to import millions of inept and anti-American foreign laborers to replace actual Americans. Their new “we gotta beat China!” rhetoric is just empty BS meant to con the rubes until the commie billionaire oligarchs can suck the American host dry and move on to the next thing they plan to destroy.

The next Democratic White House does not need a court reform commission like some college seminar. We need action. We need term limits for Justices. We need to expand this morally bankrupt Court from 9 to 13.

This may be the luckiest *bad* shot in all of golf! If you put a ball in play and it somehow ends up back in the teeing area - maybe it ricochets off a tree or you hit a topper - you can tee it up again for your second with no penalty.

@dylan_robideaux Not sure this is very helpful. Aren't you comparing apples and oranges. Valar is shooting for power, not just cold criticality. They're also working outside the INL, so they're much further down the road, meaning they're more efficient than this chart is giving them credit for.

Built a side-by-side LCOE (¢/kWh) and $/kW calculator comparing 4 DOE Reactor Pilot Program microreactors racing to criticality by July 4th plus 3 advanced SMRs in commercial development The FOAK & NOAK presets are my best-guesses based on public data reactor-comparison-lcoe.vercel.app/compare/

Met a young person who said “I am headed to El Segundo for the next week. Don’t know anyone there but will just hang out, call up random people in startups to chat with, and absorb the energy.” Quite honestly I haven’t heard that about any other place besides Silicon Valley.

If Data Centers can't be built while also preserving homes, communities, and residents' desired way of life (their "pursuit of happiness) ... then we need to pause this push. I believe in American exceptionalism and ingenuity. If companies like Google, Meta, Oracle, et al "need" them and they aren't allowed to build them over thousands of acres, using grotesque amounts of water and energy, then they will develop a different way of doing it. We should not be sacrificing our humanity for data center.
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

The government is preparing to seize homes and land using eminent domain for the construction of a Data Center in Coweta County, Georgia This American’s childhood home is being “taken by force by Georgia Power. Homeowners in this county do not have a choice” It affects over 330 private properties. Georgia Power says it will negotiate purchases and easements and use eminent domain Georgia Power claims its to strengthen the grid for the growing energy demand in Georgia (due to many new data centers) The lines are widely linked to Project Sail, a massive proposed hyperscale data center campus that will span 829 acres

@scaryjellomj @hEachthighearne @DenverRayburn @isaiah_p_taylor While there was a family trust covering $1000 per year for college, as a drop out, he did not really benefit from it. 🤣 I assure you, there were NO other trusts established for him or his sisters. I gave him a MacBook. It was up to him to make something of it. He'll do fine.

Zap is the first of many fusion companies that will pivot to fission. Being first to do this is daring and well timed; they will likely be rewarded for it. The ones to follow? Not so much.

The main factor in whether or not states grow or decline is whether they allow industries to develop. Industry brings jobs, opportunities, livelihoods, and hope for the future. Utah is a lucky to have such a strong champion in Governor Cox! We’re glad to be building in Utah.
Kevin O'Leary aka Mr. Wonderful@kevinolearytv

This is the definition of leadership. Listen to @GovCox from #utah explain what it takes to compete with #China for #AI supremacy. "You can't say no to everthing" Damn right. I'm proud to be working with him!

@MyGolfSpy @TaylorMadeGolf Hasn't this been Ping's storyline over the past few years? Related: In putting, distance is more important than direction. In driving, direction is more important than distance.

This story is way bigger than a “did they fix it?” headline. And honestly most of you are going to miss it. There’s a lot packed into this so let’s be clear about what actually matters. First, THIS is why @TaylorMadeGolf won our driver test. Second, this is exactly why we keep telling golfers that drivers are NOT maxed out. Third, for a company known for some of the loudest marketing claims in golf this might be the most meaningful thing they’ve actually done. And almost no one is going to talk about it. Because it’s not about distance. And that’s the only thing most of you have been trained to care about. Every ad, every launch, every headline is longer…faster…more ball speed. Meanwhile the thing that actually impacts your score gets ignored. Miss hits. That’s where this entire story lives. What TaylorMade did here isn’t sexy but it is 100% real. They made miss hits behave a lot closer to center strikes. Not marginally. Not something you ‘might’ notice. Meaningfully closer. That’s the difference between playable and punished. But here’s the problem. Golfers don’t pay attention to their bad swings. They only remember the one they flushed. So this kind of improvement flies completely under the radar. And that’s exactly why this matters more than another 3 to 5 yards no one can even verify. Now zoom out. Last year TaylorMade drivers finished middle to bottom of the pack in our testing. This year #1 🏆 That’s not marketing. That’s not luck. That’s fixing a real performance gap. And it tells you just how big of a disadvantage their face performance actually was before this. In my opinion every OEM is going to be chasing this. Not because it sounds good. Because it works. And the crazy part. Most golfers won’t even realize it’s happening. Hi Michelle, although I know I’m an imperfect and sinful person, I also earnestly hope the work we’re doing at rainmaker helps to serve God and his creation. In Genesis, even before the fall, God instructs Adam to work and tend to the garden. If making rain can help tend to God’s creation, preventing droughts that destroy ecosystems and crops, maybe it’s another tool that serves His interests. Happy to talk more anytime

We will BLOW UP the farm bill if Sections 10205, 10206, and 10207 are NOT REMOVED from the Farm Bill. Section 10205 would shield pesticide makers from liability, weaken warning labels, and put foreign chemical corporations above the health of American families.
