@RobinBa26839835 @czabe Take a poll & over 85% would agree this is a dumb rule. It is always harped on whenever it occurs. I never see anyone actively defending it with arguments like “that’s just the way it is” or “rules are rules…just gotta abide by them.” Same goes for the catch rule…figure it out

This is one where the soccer people just say: “Well that’s the way it is…” and then launch into a stump speech full of justifications and condescension.
The American sports consumer just will never accept this level of absurdity. It’s why we constantly tweak and mold our rules in every sport to be proportionate and sensible.

@Big12Pokes @jaylassoku Yeah…pretty sure just ignoring play style recruits is the way to go. The other one is playing time. I get it being a factor for a RS Sophomore in a position battle, but RSing a 72 Freshman sitting behind an All American SR shouldn’t automatically result in a xfer request

This is a gross misunderstanding.
The man wasn't pretending to be friends to get with you. Not even pick up artists devote that much into trying to fuck one woman. You're not that special and this isn't a movie.
He is your friend. He developed feelings for you as a person, not a conquest. When you rejected him, why does he need to grin and bear it? Why are expecting a friend to suffer like that?
Leaving is the most respectful thing to do. There's really no other way to handle it. Regardless of whether he tells you or not, sticking around isn't a viable option for anyone anymore.

There's very sweet friends to lovers arcs and I've had it myself but most times it's the last time you'll see the guy you thought was a friend because they were never actually interested in your friendship to begin with and that's sad

@jimjustgames I think fully digital is inevitable. It saves physical space, it saves resources, it saves money, & it’s simply more convenient. The only real speedbump is the laws behind digital licensing. Once those have either been changed/amended, or effectively usurped then digital wins

With all the talk about Digital ownership and the rights belonging to the players rumors are swirling that Xbox is planning to announce its Project Positron releasing next week. This would be a free tool to convert physical media from Xbox discs into permanent digital licenses tied to Microsoft accounts.
Are you excited about this or do you just see it as more and more of a sign of what is coming with the loss of Physical Media?

@madbpd It’s not even the loneliness that’s the issue. I actually prefer it. It’s just the overwhelming hopelessness/futility of it all. Realizing that nobody genuinely cares about anybody, & we’re all gonna die for no reason, & humanity is just a blip in existence. Why struggle?

Brazil has proposed a bill with new protections for gamers 🇧🇷

@toruforevamente @nvllskies @CultureCrave @ErikakHilton No…truly a great game by an incredible developer. If you decide to give it, or its successor a try I recommend playing with a build guide. They can be a bit overwhelming/intimidating at first but the payoff is well worth it.

@NickyPerks Why do the rankings still even matter? It should be pretty simple who gets into the playoffs. Expand to 16, then, win your conference. Period. Then we can suss out the rest by records & the like. If you didn’t win your conference…too bad, so sad. See you next year.

The AP poll should be abolished and there should be no preseason rankings whatsoever
Half the AP voters don’t even watch the sport, and it’s quite literally impossible to accurately rank teams without a single piece of game film

Game has been online since 2013 & last year had a free massive update with DLC. It still has regular leagues every 4 months too. The sequel is in early access set to be released in full in Nov/Dec

Game still gets regular updates, & recently had a massive DLC…for free…for a 13 y/o FTP game. I think it’s perfectly possible if you’re competent

They will have the means to invest in themselves, and eventually come over and expand their market. If they fail....they just be another online game that failed among thousands. Frankly, I doubt it. Football is far more complex than eggball. Just because you managed to master an 11 minute turn-based game of brute force and scripted plays doesn't mean you could excel at a continuous, flowing one that demands elite touch, vision, stamina, and IQ from every single player for 90+ minutes. The same way dominating Monopoly doesn't make you a potential real estate mogul. If the US thinks it can compete, build a grassroots football culture, an open league system, and clubs capable of attracting and challenging the best youngsters. It would take decades, but it's feasible if you stop wasting energy on games no one else wants to play or watch. Good luck 🤞
