This. And it shouldn't matter what type of payment you agree to Cash, gifts, in game currency of choice, etc... Do. The. Work. People should not be waiting 12 months for a commission when you have a 2 week deadline.

If you have been paid by a client to do work, DO 👏 THE 👏 WORK 👏 Sure, emergencies can come up, but to have active YCHs and other art pumping out and leaving clients waiting for over 6 months to over a year makes you look like you dont want to do it.
