The careless decision to reduce our force posture in Europe, along with moves by Pete Hegseth and his political henchmen to force out some of our finest general officers is amateur hour at best and deadly at worst. Hegseth continues to surprise and disrespect our greatest allies and some of our best military professionals with impulsive decisions not grounded in reality or good judgment. If the rumors are true that Hegseth is trying to sideline General Chris Donahue, one of our nation’s finest warfighters, by downgrading U.S. Army Europe-Africa to a 3-star command, he is taking another step down a dangerous path. A step that is not in the best interests of our nation or our servicemembers. General Donahue has dedicated his entire career to upholding the high standards and warrior ethos that Hegseth claims he is restoring to our ranks. Gen. Donahue has led Soldiers at all levels in Airborne (including Ft. Bragg’s 82nd) and Mechanized units, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and our most prestigious special operation units. He deployed over 20 times in support of Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, Inherent Resolve, Atlantic Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, European Assure, Deter and Reinforce, and in support of the Sudan crisis. Hegseth would do well to surround himself with more patriots like General Donahue and to get his henchmen, who are not qualified to carry Donahue's bag, out of the Pentagon. Keep your word, Mr. Secretary: choose meritocracy over your mediocre yes-men. notus.org/defense/pentag…

Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube success still comes back to one thing: contending in majors.
@wingoz says what separates Bryson from other golf creators is that he’s also won and competed at the highest level. But after another rough major performance, the question becomes what happens if that part starts to fade.

@tomshardware A group of 20 people in a state like PA is not representative of the state population. I live and work in PA. Have not heard one person blame the governor. They blame the developers and the local municipalities for approving them.

Pennsylvania residents blame Governor Josh Shapiro for the large number of data center projects in the state, despite his efforts to introduce policies that will balance development with the welfare of the people. tomshardware.com/tech-industry/…

One reason ESPN is against expansion is that they own nearly all of the non-playoff bowl games and expansion to 24 would significantly reduce the value of those games, and make some of them disappear completely. This is valuable inexpensive content for them

@AlbertBreer There is no evidence (at all) that going from 4 to 12 team playoff diminished the regular season and no evidence moving to a 24 team playoff would do that either. You and Greeny have no idea what you are talking about.

I couldn’t agree more. The 24-team playoff is an objectively awful idea. Hell, I think 12 is probably too much. Willingly killing the best regular season in sports would be insane behavior.

"If we live in a world where Ohio State and Michigan rest their starters for that game at the end of the season, because they've got the potential of five playoff games still sitting in front of them, then college football, as we have known it, ceases to exist." - Mike Greenberg

@CFBChuckk Georgia is losing recruits to everyone right now - for some reason. Franklin and VA Tech have some real momentum going in the recruiting trail.

@KyleRePhilly @PeteThamel Every single starting QB James Franklin had at Penn State went on to be drafted into the NFL. That trend looks to continue at Va Tech with Grunk.

@PeteThamel Why would anyone play for Danny o Brien? Him and JF can’t develop a qb to save their life

@MyNameIsntBrett @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL Please go back and watch any random game of your choice from Clifford’s first year as a starter to his final year. You are going to laugh at yourself and his dumb you were to tweet that.

@harrimsa @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL Hackenburg got worse once JF came. Trace got worse when Moorhead left. Clifford had a better 1st year than 2nd and third. His final season was on par with his first season as a starter. Not having a clear difference between your first and last year shows a lack of development.

@MyNameIsntBrett @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL And again - the simple fact of the matter is everyone one of those guys was developed into a starting QB in the Big Ten that has relative success and also developed into NFL draft picks.

@MyNameIsntBrett @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL Saying there is a clear decline is not reality. Drew got significantly better from year 1 to 2 as a starter and then got hurt. Clifford was 1000% better his final year than his first year as a starter. Trace got there as a Safety and was developed into a very good QB.

@MyNameIsntBrett @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL You do understand that the years they are in the bench and backups count and they are getting coaching right? Those very important years for development. Those years count.

@MyNameIsntBrett @BluWhiteMartian @JoeA_NFL Saban is the best of all time and only 2 of those guys will be starters. The rest were given some starts and showed the busts. Again - the vast majority of college QB’s never even get drafted is the point.
