@gotrice2024 There’s a current scam where crooks figured out a way to manipulate the pump/nozzle to keep flowing after the paid shutoff. Bet this has something to do with that, trying to cover the crime or result of altering the pump.

This man was pumping gas at the gas station, as it approached 16 gallons of gas he knew he was going to reach what he wanted to pay. So when it went over 16 he was surprised and tried to stop the pump. He hit the release tab on the pump handle and it does nothing. It still pumps. It’s now approaching 24 gallons and he knows it’s going to flood and overflow his tank. Sure enough, as soon as he hit 24, gas spilled out onto the concrete. He panics and runs to hit the emergency shut off on the building. It cuts off power to the pumps and cuts out the lights. Did he wait way too long to shut it off or at least notify someone, what would you have done?
