This National Police Week, @FPSDHS joins law enforcement across the nation to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Earlier today, @DHSgov @FPSDHS hosted its annual Wreath Laying Ceremony in Washington, DC, to honor 8 of our own who gave their lives protecting others.

In San Diego, a @DHSgov @FPSDHS officer’s quick action saved a man from a burning car on California Interstate 15. Proud of our team’s readiness to serve!

Always Vigilant, Always Ready to Respond. Yesterday, @DHSgov @FPSDHS officers participated in an intensive Active Threat Training at St. Elizabeths Campus in Washington, DC.

This week, I met with Federal Protective Service Director Faron K. Paramore to discuss the critical role FPS plays in keeping federal facilities safe and how we in Congress can help support their unique and vital mission. FPS protects more than a million employees and visitors to federal facilities every day, and I’m grateful for all the men and women working to strengthen security and keep Americans safe. @DHSgov @FPSDHS

With heavy hearts, @DHSgov @FPSDHS remembers the line-of-duty death of Federal Protective Service Officer Vincente Lebron-Ramos (April 30, 1980). Assigned to Region 2 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was fatally injured in a motor vehicle accident. Gone, but never forgotten.
