Wow! At least 11,000 duplicate names in the electoral rolls of the SAME assembly constituency in Panvel (85,000 across 4 segments of this Thane-Konkan belt) will now be passed off as Agenda-driven or ROUTINE?? (Note: This is based purely on a check by one candidate’s team) Have never used the word ‘vote chori’ to suggest this is evidence of duplicate voting or the election was rigged but what it does suggest and this is serious enough, is that our electoral rolls are BADLY COMPROMISED. What baffles me is that EC (both in Mumbai and Delhi) are silent but an entire army led by likes of @TVMohandasPai and @TheJaggi are out to defend the indefensible. My other qs: why was an inquiry not ordered/explanation given BEFORE the election when the candidate pointed it out and officially complained, even filed a writ petition in court asking duplicate names to be deleted ? Why the SILENCE?
