@emptycab @CollingwoodFC I dont think anyone doubts how good he was, its just that his career was cruelled just as he was hitting his prime. He had every attribute. Can you imagine how good he would be playing today's game....

@CollingwoodFC sad that john greening never gets mentioned in these debates

There's been 1202 players in our Club's history, so narrowing down the best player is no easy task 🤔
Ahead of #SP433, Club Historian Michael Roberts has had his say on who the greatest Magpie of all time is: magpi.es/PendlesFliesHi…

Why all the fuss about @SP_10 wearing a gold number Saturday 🤔
Pendles was rocking the gold number back in 2006 for @WilliamstownFC 😏

🚨🚨🎙️ Alan Shearer SLAMS Bruno Fernandes matching the Premier League assist record: “The intensity of the league is weaker now than it was in the Henry and Kevin eras.”
“Fair play to Bruno Fernandes because twenty assists in the Premier League is not easy, but I still think people are getting carried away comparing every era like they’re exactly the same. When Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne were putting up those numbers, the league felt far more intense to me.
Back then you had defenders flying into tackles, midfielders constantly on top of you, and creative players barely had a second to breathe. Now the game is more open, more tactical, and honestly attackers get protected a lot more. Bruno is a fantastic player, nobody is denying that, but the conditions are different.
And let’s be honest, everything at Manchester United goes through him. Every attack, every transition, every set piece. Naturally your numbers are going to explode when the entire system is built around you touching the ball all the time.
For me, when Henry and De Bruyne did it, there was this control and dominance to their teams. Arsenal and City were overwhelming sides playing incredible football week after week. With Bruno, sometimes it feels more chaotic, more moments than complete control.
So yes, respect the achievement, absolutely. But matching the number doesn’t automatically mean it carries the exact same weight across different eras.”

🚨I have come to the conclusion that not every Manchester United fan understood Ruben Amorim.
You need to be at some levels in the premier league to qualify for the Champions League consistently for 3-4 years like Arsenal and Manchester City have been doing it.
Next season, it’s certain that Arsenal and City would still qualify. Man Utd qualifying is always dependent on the players that comes in or the coach, so, the certainty is not an assured one and that’s what Ruben meant.
The champions league is a place for a team like Manchester United and achieving that would take some consistency which we are not.
Michael Carrick has done a good job by qualifying to UCL but can he do it again and again?
That’s the level we are supposed to be at not one where we qualify this year and next year, we finish 8th, the upper year, 6th.
That’s not the limbo for a club like Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim was here to steady that ship but not everyone saw it.

All my life, I aspire to reach Ruud van Nistelrooy levels of pettiness 😭🎭

𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏 of what 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐦 said about Kobbie Mainoo earlier in the season:
“I think he has the technical ability, but he needs more pace. He needs to understand the position better and learn to play at different speeds.
“Sometimes it’s slower, sometimes it’s faster. I think he can improve on that.
“I believe a lot in Kobbie, but some of you think he is already the finished article.
“I think he can do so much better—he can improve a lot. For some players, talent is enough, but for him it’s not enough.
“Maybe it’s not fair, but I think I’m helping Kobbie. He will have opportunities like the other players.”

English

Call me old fashioned but isn’t sport all about winning trophies and being the best?
Nobody can convince me that this club is serious about any of that, they’d be happy with CL qualification every season.
We’ve lost sight of what we are about.

One. Step. Closer.
English

@TJG2764 @Malachians Whose to say he would have. We were playing mid table level under him.
English

@Malachians Who’s to say that Amorim couldn’t get CL after Bruno , Amad and Mbeumo returned in new year?
English

@Seskinho9 What a lot if shit! Anyway...Kobbie has made Amorin and those who idiots who advocate for him look like a morons.
English

Amorims next permanent club will be a club he gets 100% Vito power. He will never be a puppet as he has never been one in his career.
the moment he sensed being manipulated at united he called the board out and left.
He will access all his options in the summer and start in one of the many clubs going after him.
Atletico Madrid, Man City, Chelsea, benfica, AC Milan….

English

@Cantonadevils You failed to mention he gets results. Something your Amorin failed at. Now FRO!
English

Michael Carrick will become our manager/Head Coach next season and he suits every criteria the boards wants;
• He is cheap
• He will accept whatever signings given to him.
• He won’t throw tantrums or make a fuzz about their decisions
• Since the fans love him, it’ll make the Glazers/Ineos seen in a good light
• Wilcox will tend to feel like a manager behind the scenes and Carrick the manager on the pitch.
• A true Puppet, through and through.

English

Amorim wasn’t sacked because of results at united
He was sacked cause he wanted better players
He held the board accountable
LiveScore@livescore
Man United are now the only team to not suffer back-to-back Premier League defeats this season 👏
English

🚨Michael Carrick is giving the players freedom and play where you are best mentality but what about the intensity?
Our intensity since he arrived and since that Manchester City game has drastically dropped.
You can’t compare the way these players play and the way they played under Ruben Amorim.
We need that intensity, we need that pressing.
Michael Carrick has no standard and it is why Marcus Rashford would survive under him because he’s always giving that freedom to do whatever you know how to do best and whatever you like. That is not an Elite Coach’s mentality.
We need to press aggressively, we need to hold ball and convert changes.
Michael Carrick should not be our permanent coach. ‼️

English

@Cantonadevils Have no issue with winning ugly at times. Under Amorin we lost ugly most of the time....
