@tobydoyhowell I always thought that 10:09 and 1:51 were chosen because of some superstition that people find golden rectangle/ratio times attractive. #clockphi" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">maths.surrey.ac.uk/hosted-sites/R…

Attention to detail in advertising: almost all marketing campaigns show watches set to 10:10 because it frames the brand name

This is the ad that first got me interested in marketing. What’s yours?

Since I read Marc Levinson's The Box a decade ago, I have wanted to know everything about container ships. Please send me all your great container ship-related content.

@callmevlad Driver ratings are a mess and prone to tons of bias in my experience, that’s why I always leave a 5. It’s nice to know that so many other people do the same. I think of anything less than a 5 as a vote to fire someone, and I’m not comfortable with that.

I dunno if I'm alone in this, but I've literally never given a Lyft or Uber driver anything below 5 stars because I keep thinking "ok maybe that wasn't perfect, but what if this is their only source of income and my bad rating will boot them off the platform?"

@revolutionwifi @celonaio That makes sense. I always enjoy/appreciate your efforts at explaining ideas simply, so I’ll look forward to the papers or podcasts.

@revolutionwifi @celonaio I think I get your point, but this messaging doesn’t do justice to the discrete constructs of OFDMA, QCI, and RAN and Network Slicing. I think you should consider breaking them out. Smart and thoughtful people contributed to each idea, and all can benefit from your explanations.

@revolutionwifi They are using a Rivet/Killer driver on Intel NICs, I believe. My assumption is that they have a software scheduler for their SmartByte functions that does better app class than a normal driver. Killer also sells their own modules based on Intel. killernetworking.com/technologies/

@DKThomp “I give you my word, I do not care a rap about being shot; not a rap," is the truly remarkable part of that speech.

@sethfiermonti @James_M_Carlson - Haha. Yes, feels like an intuitive next step if dataplanes normalize to OVS in most bridging cases.

Sad prelude to carriage conflicts that @FCC is inviting with new rules. @CNBC : Netflix-Verizon dispute intensifies fw.to/4GLOD7X

FCC's idea of "reasonable network management", Netflix needs a "fast lane" for FiOS? RT @yurivictor Oh snap, netflix.
