@shiloebear Only a contrarian take for people with no renovation experience.

@TaylorSicard LL Bean Percale sheets. Good, cheap, and sold in Canada. Also, don’t just take my word for it:

@kevinLcurry @itswillbarry @headwestguide @GetPurpleDot We looked at it as well, and did the demo. Ultimately we opted to keep having our CS team manage manually. I’ll keep you all posted if we revisit.

@itswillbarry @hdlnd @headwestguide @GetPurpleDot I think I’ve looked at purple dot but didn’t pull the trigger

@michaelmiraflor I’ve been getting regular email blasts from him about national topics. I had the same thought.

@sferik I don’t know if this is the right answer, BUT I believe that it would it just count as a lead change as it’s just one “play”; as in “three point play” or “four point play”.

Q about NBA stats for the number of ties/lead changes in a game: If a team is down by 1 point, and a player on that team is fouled, and makes two free throws, does that count as both a tie and a lead change or just a lead change, since no time came off the clock betw free throws?

@sferik Moving on from your motivations. Plenty of people get the politics bug at an early age for idealistic reasons, the corruption attracts some too. I think removing opportunities for that corruption is a net positive for society. Is it a panacea? No, obviously.
English

@hdlnd I wasn’t doing it for free, if that’s what you’re asking.
Why do you think politicians run for office? Do you believe most politicians are unselfishly motivated? I can only think of a few, I’d put in that category, and even those I’m not sure about.

The only reason why a smart person would want to be a politician is to trade on the insider information. Taking that away means we’ll have even dumber politicians (and less efficient markets).

@sferik I wasn’t asking that. I was asking what your reasons for taking on that role, while also being the well respected and capable professional that you are? Clearly you can and have “do”, so it must have been for something more, no? Was GA throwing around the big bucks?

@ringmybeller So I shouldn’t feel bad about accepting the $250 just to hear their pitch?
English

OK so my DMs blew up from this.
So, I'm not gonna be coy about it. Clearly people are interested.
We aspire to be a transparent, community-first company, so what I'm gonna do is publish the C&D we received along with our response back.

@graceclarke We made the move to incorporate major restrictions of our retailers’ use of branded keywords in their marketing in our MAP policy to get in front of this issue. Limited pushback to date.
English

Provocative-on-purpose Q for my growth people:
Why not let retailers pay your advertising bills in that way?
Taylor Holiday@TaylorHoliday
They found that large retailers selling their products showed up in 50% more impressions on their branded search terms than the previous year. This matches what we have been seeing from our large brands as well. Retailers are upping their search sophistication and aggression.

@chrisxmunn We did Copenhagen and Mallorca last summer. Two amazing places. Easy to get to each.
