This is the beginning of the end of the AI luddite movement and it’s long overdue. AI is a generational productivity tool for all fields, and companies whose decisions get co-opted by AI haters will become entirely unviable as competition whizzes by with better products.

Why do these so called analysts completely miss the point?
The reason nobody complained is because the consumer still has the choice to buy a disc drive for PC.
If Sony want rid of Disc Drives then don't try and control consumer choice.
Currently Realities:
1) A closed PlayStation ecosystem vs a fully open PC ecosystem.
2) Digital Games that you can own forever on PC vs Rentals which can be revoked at any time.
