This farmer just blew the whistle on a five-alarm fire for MAHA: Chinese pesticide manufacturer Syngenta just announced that they’re “ceasing all production” of paraquat, an “extremely toxic” herbicide. But in the US, paraquat is “still approved by the EPA.” And House Republicans are advancing a new law to give pesticide makers like Syngenta and Bayer a total immunity shield from being sued for mass poisoning Americans. Regenerative farmer and Iowa gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn warned that this liability shield will lead to the exact same kind of disaster caused by the 1986 liability shield for vaccines: “They’ll have a blank check to produce what they wanna produce and not have to face the repercussions.” “We are captured to an extent that we don’t even realize.” House Republicans are on the brink of the ultimate betrayal of MAHA if this liability shield passes. They snuck it into the 2026 Farm Bill and quietly advanced it in the middle of the night last week. Now, it’s on us to fight back. Here’s how: We are demanding that House Republicans strike Sections 10205, 10206, 10206, and portions of 10201 from the 2026 Farm Bill. But we need your help. Use the link below for a step-by-step guide to take action in just 2 minutes:🧵 @ZachLahn

Serving in the Governor’s Office has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Governor @henrymcmaster and a team of dedicated public servants who care deeply about this state and the people who call it home. Through this experience, I’ve had the privilege of seeing South Carolina from a unique vantage point—traveling the state, meeting hardworking citizens, and gaining a deeper appreciation for just how special this state truly is. I’m excited to begin a new chapter as Public Information Director at the @EducationSC , where I look forward to continuing to serve the people of our state and supporting the important work being done to strengthen education across South Carolina.

.@EDSecMcMahon and I announced that, starting this fall, 53 medical schools across 31 states will deliver at least 40 hours of nutrition education during undergraduate medical training. This landmark reform will transform medical education, equip future physicians to prevent and treat chronic disease, and advance @POTUS’s commitment to end the chronic disease epidemic.

Yesterday, CVS-Aetna agreed to pay $117.7 million to settle whistleblower claims that they defrauded Medicare by submitting incorrect diagnosis codes to increase their Medicare Advantage payouts. Obvious question: Why are companies with documented histories of defrauding government programs still allowed to participate in them? Read more about the settlement: on.wsj.com/4lmV6LM
