Her father, Lang Hancock, said on national television in 1984 that Indigenous Australians he described as “half-castes” should be rounded up and have their water “doped up so that they were sterile and would breed themselves out in the future.” Donnell Wallam — only the third Indigenous woman ever to represent Australia in netball — privately requested that Rinehart publicly denounce those comments. Rinehart refused. Wallam was then denied an exemption from wearing the Hancock logo on her debut, and under unbearable pressure eventually agreed to wear it — at which point Rinehart pulled the $15 million sponsorship anyway, describing the players’ concerns as “virtue signalling.”
This is who funds One Nation. This is the legacy behind the money.

38 days in and the United States Commander in Beef has already pulled off the most complete victory in modern history.
Let’s recap the wins. 🏆
• Replaced Khamenei (86) with Khamenei (56)
• Reclaimed exactly 0kg of uranium
• Reopened a strait that was already open - now with a $2M toll per ship (up from $0)
• Proved F-15s and F-35s can in fact be downed by guys who “belong to the Stone Age”
• Got US bases destroyed across four or five countries (I've lost count)
• Shattered allied trust that the US would actually show up if things got spicy
• Put Iranians back in the streets (this time for their government)
• Installed Pakistan as the region’s voice of reason. Pakistan.
• Openly admitted arming the Kurds to stir trouble in Iran. The Kurds did nothing and kept the weapons.
• Bragged about the Crown Prince of the Gulf’s biggest petro-monarchy “kissing his ass”
• Raised the cost of living for all Americans even more thanks to skyrocketing gas prices.
He really did all that to the Middle Eas for the low, low price of a few thousand civilian lives, tens of billions in equipment, and every ally not named Israel.
If that’s not the Art of the Deal, I genuinely don’t know what you people expected.
And again, we had money to do all that, but not to provide healthcare to our own citizens.
Truly a victory that could only be won by someone capable of bankrupting a casino.

On International Women’s Day 2026, there is a long path to equal rights and protections and, in some cases, hard-won rights are being rewound.
Women around the world continue to bear the brunt of the billions of dollars daily, and trillions spent annually on the killing of other humans, even while hundreds of millions go without basics, even food.
Girls are being denied education, the reduction of aid programs directly affects women and girls, Indigenous women and girls face additional barriers including in Australia and rising human displacement affects the caregivers, mothers and kids.
These are multiple, interconnected challenges on a path to safety, opportunity and equality.
In sport, there is much work remaining to ‘balance the scales.’
Women continue to advocate largely unsuccessfully for equal access to decision-making, including at bodies like the FIFA Council (8 of 37), and to a broad commitment to their participation and rights.
And domestically, despite the success of the Matildas, Australia’s football women continue to push for adequate investment into their game.
Sport rarely, forcefully imposes its equality statutes which, if it did so, would have a significant impact on the world’s approach to women and girls.
If you support women’s rights, then you must support them all equally.
Because human rights apply to everyone.
No exceptions.

@NRL_SC_Addicts Solid. Will be interesting to see how the dual cheapie option plays out over the season

@nrlscchat Pondering this also. Trying to measure likely up and down output from Fifita with more consistency scores from Couchman. Both feel like a gamble and considering Yeo as a safer option

@skooshisports @barryofarrell Those tackle busts and fend are reminiscent of Mal Meninga. Showing a lot of promise

The men who despise women are not ‘strong’. They may be powerful, influential, even celebrated but they are so weak and pathetic they can only feel strong when they abuse those who cannot (they think) fight back. Nauseating, the lot of them. smh.com.au/politics/feder…
