New data from Finnish national car inspection authority (Traficom). All new cars are exempt from inspection until their 4th year. 2021 model year EVs are finally up for first inspection. Here are the failure rates:

The video and quote making the rounds of Miyazaki commenting on AI intentionally omits important context.
He was specifically asked his opinion on an AI that generated movement for zombie-like characters, and his 'insult to life' comment was referring to the way the AI seemed to ignore the pain the figures would be in.
Not only that, but the video was made eight years ago and predates anything like the modern image generating systems.
The way it's being presented is just misleading pandering.

Singaporeans definitely have a thing for Japan, they keep heading back maybe because of the allure of a culture that they wish they had, since Japanese culture is steeped in mastery, zen and a level of satoyama, luxury & service you just don't find in Singapore too.
