@CBSSportsGolazo For the first CL game, Bayern was in a semifinal DFB cup on Wed, played on Saturday & had 2 days which included travel to regenerate for PSG and Arteta thinks the players were fresh? No wonder Arsenal is bottling their league while playing defensive boring football.

@iMiaSanMia Bayern is stupid to let Laimer go and keep Gnabry who plays a replaceable position. Laimer is important in bringing energy to the team and plays as a RB LB, midfielder and a winger. RB and LB players are hard to come by and get injured a lot in Kompany’s tactics. #BayernMunich

Bayern do not consider Konrad Laimer as irreplaceable as other players who have recently extended their contracts, therefore the club is currently unwilling to meet the Austrian's demands and give him a significant pay rise. Negotiations are at a standstill and Laimer's future is uncertain. Bayern want to keep their foot down regarding salaries. The driving forces behind that are supervisory board members Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. This desire for a tough negotiating stance has already been made clear to Max Eberl on several occasions. Eberl now knows what to do if he wants the backing of the club's leadership. In addition, Bayern are planning to further strengthen the full-back positions this summer and will have several alternatives next season, so Laimer's departure either this summer or on a free in 2027 is a possibility [@SPORT1]

@iMiaSanMia @vcatalina96 Funny that Bayern had 2 days (one of those 2 was a travel day) since their last game to prepare for PSG after a Saturday game and also playing a DFB semifinal game Wednesday the week before. Those Bayern players were not fresh at all.

Mikel Arteta asked if Premier League teams were capable of producing such an exciting game as PSG vs Bayern: "Well, there is something that when I look at that game, Bayern v PSG is probably the best game I have ever witnessed on the quality of two teams, and especially the individual quality that the players deliver. I’ve never seen something like this. But when I look at the amount of minutes and the freshness of those players, then I’m not surprised. To deliver those moments of quality, you have to be very fresh and the difference in the leagues and the way they’re competing is night and day.  “And you just have to see a lot of stats that have been recently around it. So we are competing in two different worlds, so you cannot compare one part of that without giving any context to the other. I don’t think it’s fair." @DerKaiserBM Neuer is too inconsistent. I am wondering with all of these games if his body is feeling these games too much. He did not have any spring to jump and reaction time was slow.

Former referee @graefe_manuel criticizes what he calls inconsistent refereeing in Leverkusen vs. Bayern, pointing to a missed foul before the opener, a possible Tah handball and red card, and uneven bookings, arguing the lack of a clear line fueled frustration and tension.

@Complaxes Jackson is too expensive. That is unfortunate. He shows good potential but with him just being a sub, you can see he gets out of rhythm easily and needs time to get into the game better. I would not pay much. But he just got a trophy so he should be happy with that.

Michael Olise has in recent weeks rejected multiple high-level PR and social media deals that would have instantly turned him into one of football’s most marketable global superstars, despite agencies presenting a clear pathway to millions and explosive growth on Instagram. These were not minor tweaks, they were full-scale transformation plans, a complete rebrand of his identity, a new profile name, a total visual overhaul to replace the plain purple profile picture, and a commercial strategy designed to unlock elite sponsorship deals, with internal projections suggesting his following could surpass 15 million within five months, placing him in the same commercial bracket as profiles like Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland or Lamine Yamal. Despite the scale of the offers, he rejected everything, no rebrand, no sponsors, no manufactured image, choosing instead to stay completely in control and deliberately keep his profile raw and minimal, with a clear intention to focus solely on football for now, a decision that goes directly against the entire commercial blueprint of modern football superstardom.

@FabrizioRomano Real Madrid was deprived of an Academy Award since dives and hard late fouls were not called by the referee. How can you be proud of a team that values acting instead of playing great football? I guess they are just not good enough because they can’t even win their own league.

@GuillemBalague If Real Madrid only would play the great football that we know they can play but instead they rely on hard fouls not called by referees in their favor and diving simulation resulting free kick goal when no foul occurred. Then play delay games. They do not represent great football

Is this how you expect Real Madrid to play or should play? We can debate it but in the first leg Neuer was the MVP of the match And today Real's transitions (and the defensive commitment) gave them many chances to win the game (higher Xgs) Real did enough to get to semis

@FCBinsideEN Disappointed in Khedira’s bias. I guess he did not see how Vini and Rudiger got away with their hard fouls and calling a foul on Laimer for a free kick when there was a dive. Rules are rules for 2nd yellow.

@redalf409 @FabrizioRomano If Madrid would just play the great football that we know they are capable of, they would not have to resort to the hard fouls (which the referee did not call for Bayern on Vini and Rudiger) and simulation diving (which the referee did not call but gave a free kick on no foul).

@BubCasto @CBSSportsGolazo @_poppymiller @MikeGrella10 @T_Deeney Real Madrid got away with many hard fouls in that game that were not called and carded. Simulation is performed by RM and not called. Champions league is Not La Liga so why don’t RM just play great football that they can do but instead emphasize hard fouls & simulation.

@iMiaSanMia @DAZN_ES So many hard fouls made by RM were not called. It should be Bayern complaining and Kompany did so much that he got a yellow card and can’t coach next game. Teach the RM players the rules and stop their simulation. Just play the game and referee can stop carding them.

@FabrizioRomano Vini fouls and then pushes while down a player and he was not carded. Real Madrid performed simulation when Laimer did not foul & free kick for goal awarded but should have been carded. First game a penalty kick for Bayern should have been awarded at end of game. Just cry RM.

@GuillemBalague @robbopalmer Why should the referee remember that the player is on a yellow card? The rules are the rules. The referees should just call the offenses and not alter the results of the game by not calling the offenses according to rules. Too much referee empathy is ruining the game.

I don’t care who went through, Rob. The yellow was given because the ref forgot he had one already. Nobody gets sent off in Europe for that kind of thing, bad ref management You cannot deny Real Madrid could have won the game, and if you remember what Neuer had to do in the first leg, the tie And between us, it is always respectful. Specially when we disagree!
