@Victim_Girls @rakko666 Will there be someone who will succeed Rakko-sensei? His art style and story genre is hard to find even if I look hard for it.

Why is the pike and shot era so cool?
-The uniforms kick ass. Bright colours and big sashes and plumes.
-It's a crossover between medieval and modern. Armoured lancers on the same battlefield as muskets and cannon.
-Widest variety of unit types at the tactical level. Crossbows, pikes, mounted gunners, artillery, double-handed swordsmen, etc. Plus lots of cool formations. Tercio checkerboards, Dutch linear musketeers, caracole, Swiss pike phalanxes.
-Multiple, simultaneous, world-changing developments; Renaissance, Reformation, Scientific Revolution, discovery of the New World.
-Larger than life characters: Columbus, Cortez, Henry VIII, Luther, Suleiman the Magnificent, Charles V.
-The nations are cool. Golden age of Spain and the Dutch Republic. England emerges as a great power. France kicking ass all over the place. Ottomans at the height of their power, Europe terrified of them. Papal armies in the field.
-It's not WW2. It's not WW1. It's not ancient. It's not medieval. It is it's own distinctive thing. And it's almost uncharted territory in gaming terms, relative to other time periods.

@ShitpostRock Admittedly, I was at first dumb enough to think he actually meant hanging out with UN diplomats 🤣🤣
However, even after he clarified that he meant a party with young women “under age 25”, I still chose working on rockets and cars.

GM Britain ☕
In 1696, England's currency was in crisis. Coin clippers were shaving silver off the edges of coins, melting it down, and spending the debased coins at full face value. Around 10% of the nation's currency was counterfeit. Riots broke out 🔥
Britain's solution? Put Sir Isaac Newton in charge of the Royal Mint 🪙
Not just gravity, you see.
Newton recalled every coin in the country. Melted them all down. Reminted them with a reeded edge - ridges along the rim that made clipping instantly visible.
Before Newton arrived, the Mint produced 15,000 coins a week.
He had them turning out 50,000.
Then he went undercover. Disguised himself. Visited taverns and dens. Built networks of informants. Prosecuted over 100 counterfeiters.
At least two dozen were hanged at Tyburn.
The man who gave us gravity also saved the British economy.
That's British ingenuity. 🇬🇧

Leaves behind:
The destruction of the central bank.
The precedent that finance answers to sovereignty.
The expansion of executive power.
A nation reminded that elites are never permanent.
Proof that an orphan from the American frontier can defy empires.
