Many don't understand that if somebody backs you, they stand for you with their reputation, if you fuck it up, they fuck it up. Fuck up cycles ruin your reputation, hence you have to control whom you back and make sure they uphold their promises too. Decisions you have to make. Ideally this is an up levelling cycle, helping each other, winning together, but I have also seen this downwards, where people become toxic and excluded from parties, events, and group chats. If and when to cut ties with anyone or try to grow and nurture those connections in an organic way is something few exceed in. It takes a lifetime to master and a certain natural talent. Bottom line is this, you introduce someone capable and everybody wins. If that person screws up, everybody loses. Not everybody in this equation always understand the role they are playing. I hope you do now.
