Love seeing tech leaders be so innovative and forward leaning

This entire article is the argument for why @UiPath is the perfect tool for your @SAP transformation. Consolidate and streamline workflows, speed up migrations, and automate system testing a16z.com/why-the-world-…

The gap between "works in a demo" and "works at scale" is about 4,000 commits.

When you’re senior, especially in leadership, you do not get the luxury of “sitting back and observing” the first 90 days. What you do and how you act sets the tone for those who work and interact with you. First impressions truly are everything.

“Thanks to AI, the corps achieved that with only 20 people, compared with more than 2,000 staffers employed in Iraq, she said War in Iran” This probably tracks with other professions. Doesn’t eliminate the need for the job, but requires 100x less people wsj.com/tech/ai/how-ai…

Planes in front of us for 3 hours on the ground. Ground crews manually pulling planes from gates to clear space. @USDOT @SecDuffy what are we doing here

On the tarmac with @Delta at @ATLairport for over two hours now. No gates. 30+ planes of passengers sitting here. Been on this same plane for almost 7 hours trying to get from Memphis to Atlanta. Evidently gate agent just stopped answering pilots. Pinnacle customer experience.

All of corporate America right now is just AI writing emails and memos to itself, with humans acting as proxy in between Not enough people are ready for that conversation yet

The most impressive change that AI caused is that now engineers are writing detailed specs

A surprising amount of “tech leadership” is just being the adult in the room when everyone wants to work on shit that doesn’t matter.

By studying samples analyzed by the Curiosity rover, scientists have taken another step toward understanding whether life could have ever existed on Mars. A new study suggests that non-biological sources cannot fully account for the abundance of organic compounds found in a sample collected by the rover. Dig into the details: go.nasa.gov/46AGzG5

9 months to fix Americas largest ever sewage break !!! Folks - this is roughly equivalent in size to 2 or 3 massive oil supertankers dumping their load in, say, the Chesapeake Bay. Not sure why not a larger story.

This is oddly similar to the argument with government technology of buy commercial (COTS) or build in government (GOTS). The long term O&M + improvement costs are astronomical if not amortized across tons of customers

The company that created Claude Code and Claude Cowork must have obviously built their own HR solution from scratch with these tools, right? No: they use Workday. Understand why this is, and you'll understand why enterprise SaaS could be doing better than ever, thanks to AI
