@agingroy @FutureHouseSF @GoogleDeepMind That’s great Avi, I agree, but we will still be left with the trials bottleneck where the process to go through phase 1,2,3 etc on live human subjects I bet will not be quick.

Two AI systems just ran the entire drug discovery loop, from hypothesis to candidate molecule, without human direction. @FutureHouseSF's Robin identified a treatment for macular degeneration. @GoogleDeepMind's Co-Scientist generated and tested hypotheses across cancer, fibrosis, and antimicrobial resistance. Both published in @Nature on the same day. The bottleneck in aging research has always been speed. It takes 12 years to move from target to trial. These systems compress the early phase to weeks. What disease would you point them at first?

A big day for multi-agent AI to accelerate biomedical discovery, hypothesis generation, designing experiments with proof points of new candidate drugs (cancer, fibrosis, macular degeneration, antimicrobial resistance, and more) 2 @Nature reports @GoogleDeepMind @FutureHouseSF nature.com/articles/s4158… nature.com/articles/s4158…

In Finland, a new generation of energy-efficient data centers is transforming how cities manage heat. Data centers have transformed urban heat management by recovering waste heat from servers and funneling it into the country's extensive district heating networks. This innovative system turns an energy byproduct into a vital resource, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels for heating. This ingenious solution addresses two major challenges: the growing energy demands of data storage and urban heating needs. Instead of releasing heat into the environment, Finland’s system recycles it, creating a closed-loop energy network that benefits both technology and society.

@DeryaTR_ I believe it. I think the bottlenecks will be executing the trials - ie testing it on live human subjects.

There are people out there in “nevermet” relationships with girls they’ve only known online… Just know that technology has advanced a lot, so you may want to insist on an in-person meeting ASAP 😂

Yesterday Google $GOOG revealed something far more important than “another gadget”. Their new Android XR glasses are effectively trying to turn AI into a constant real-world companion. These glasses combine cameras, microphones, speakers and Gemini AI so they can understand what you are looking at and help in real time. Google demonstrated things like: • live translation • navigation overlays • remembering objects/locations • taking photos by voice • contextual assistance without touching a phone The clever part is the architecture. A lot of the heavy AI processing happens through your phone + cloud models, which means the glasses themselves can stay much lighter and more normal-looking than previous attempts like Google Glass. (blog.google) Google is also partnering with fashion brands like Gentle Monster and Warby Parker because they clearly learned the lesson that nobody wants to wear a science project on their face. (blog.google) So this kicks off ambient AI - technology that quietly sits beside you all day instead of waiting for you to open an app. If this works, smartphones may slowly become less central over the next decade. And what’s coming next.. is display integrated into the actual lenses! I look forward to that. #AI #Google #AndroidXR #Gemini #Wearables #WeeAGI

This is a total game changer for usage of AI. Especially for those that don’t want to show their face on camera, now they can show as someone else. Although impersonation issues may be a problem, I wonder how they will get around that…

Will Smith is once again the unofficial benchmark for AI It's gone from eating spaghetti to deepfake technology that can swap your face with his in real time. You won't be able to trust anything you see online soon

Have you ever wondered what AI agents are and what they do? Let’s see if I can clarify.. Imagine multiple AI tools getting chained together into a workflow. Thats what essentially can be called an AI agent. For example: Imagine you are planning a family holiday. An AI agent could: search flights compare hotel prices check weather forecasts read reviews build a travel plan add everything to your calendar estimate total costs then notify you if prices drop later All automatically. Or imagine a busy parent. An AI agent could: read school emails pull out important dates add events to the calendar generate shopping lists reorder household items before they run out remind you about birthdays and appointments Another example: A plumber, roofer or electrician could use AI to: answer customer enquiries generate quotes schedule jobs order materials send invoices chase unpaid payments Without hiring extra office staff. And this is only the beginning. The big shift is that AI is slowly moving from: “Here’s some information.” to: “I’ve already handled the task.” That is what people should really be paying attention to. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Automation #AgenticAI #WeeAGI #FutureOfWork #Tech

@kaiba_1991 @McQueen_SL @GBX_Press That would still be pretty cool to get one that’s say 95%. But I’d imagine they wouldn’t be able to make the battery or processor etc transparent and they take some space..

@helloWeeAGI @McQueen_SL @GBX_Press btw this is the principle behind passthrough mixed reality like on the oculus quest 3 so we have an object level example of this working. you would need small islands for the cameras/speakers/mics/sensors you could make a phone thats like 95% transparent but not 100%.

@McQueen_SL @helloWeeAGI @GBX_Press theoretically you could have the camera at the back be always on and then have a display that is overlaying the information on top of a live video feed of whats happening behind the phone. its not impossible.

One thing a lot of people might be missing is this: California becoming more expensive doesn’t just hurt “the rich” anymore. It’s starting to hit normal working people hard. Rent, insurance, electricity, fuel, groceries… even people on decent salaries can feel like they are running in place. And when that happens, people often stop voting based on ideology and start voting based on survival. What’s interesting is that this shift may not even be about Republicans suddenly becoming massively popular. It could simply be frustration reaching a tipping point. Another angle nobody talks about enough: A lot of people quietly leave states mentally before they leave physically. They stay in California because of work, family or property… but politically they start thinking: “Is this system actually working for me anymore?” That creates sudden shifts that polls often miss because many people don’t openly discuss politics anymore, especially in workplaces or online. There’s also a generational factor. Younger voters grew up hearing California was the “future”. But many are now dealing with: impossible housing prices debt weak wage growth versus costs crime concerns in some areas difficulty starting families Once daily life feels harder year after year, people become far more open to voting differently just to try something else. If California — one of the strongest Democrat strongholds in America — starts showing noticeable cracks, investors, companies and even other states will pay very close attention. Political shifts often happen slowly… then BOOM - all at once.

The honest answer is probably both. WEF estimates AI could displace 92 million jobs by 2030, but create 170 million new ones — a net gain of 78 million. But that does not mean the same people keep winning… Goldman Sachs now says AI is already causing a small drag on US hiring, while Anthropic’s labour research shows programmers, customer service reps and financial analysts are among the most exposed jobs. So yes, AI may create more jobs overall. But as we all probably already guessed, the painful thing is this - It can still destroy one person’s career before the “new jobs” arrive for someone else.

Love it or hate it, this is probably where AI was always heading… OpenAI is now rolling out a personal finance experience in ChatGPT, starting with Pro users in the US. You can connect financial accounts through Plaid, see spending, bills, subscriptions, net worth and investments in one place, then ask questions based on your own financial data. On one hand, that is genuinely useful. Most people do not have a clear picture of where their money goes. An AI that can spot waste, subscriptions, debt problems, spending patterns and investment risk could help a lot of people before things get ugly. But the uncomfortable bit is obvious too isn’t it? We are moving from “AI, explain compound interest” to “AI, here is my bank account, portfolio, bills and spending habits.” Talk about trust… The winner in AI finance will not just be the smartest model. It will be the company people trust enough to let inside their financial life. Love it or hate it, this is the next doorway. #AI #OpenAI #ChatGPT #Fintech #WeeAGI

One AI trick that genuinely surprised me: Ask AI something complicated. Then take that answer and put it into another AI and ask: “What’s wrong with this?” You suddenly realise AI can sound extremely confident while quietly making things up, skipping important details, or oversimplifying things. But when multiple AIs start checking each other… it gets much more interesting. It starts feeling less like a chatbot and more like having a room full of interns, researchers and analysts arguing in the background while you listen in. Another weirdly addictive thing to try: Take a photo of literally any object near you and ask AI: “How was this designed and manufactured?” You go down a rabbit hole very quickly. Factory processes. Injection moulding. CNC machining. Supply chains. Materials. Electronics. Cost cutting. Engineering decisions. You start looking at everyday objects completely differently. Honestly, I think that’s where AI gets powerful. Try it and share your responses…
