This is a very hard thing to write, but my wife Jackie and I wanted you to know that our funny, love-filled, brave, charming, polite, totally unique, and just all-round wonderful eldest son Joe, 19, died yesterday in hospital in Oxford in our arms.

My daughter works part time at Domino’s Pizza. Last night I picked her up and she said one of the girls had fallen over during the shift. Once I’d established the girl was ok I asked if, when she fell down, did everyone else then fall down too and now I think she hates me a bit.
