@MattWalshBlog It reminded me of the feelings I had watching Flight of the Navigator as a kid. My kids loved it

Took the wife and kids to see Project Hail Mary. We all really enjoyed it. Its greatest achievement is that it’s an actual family movie. Not too babyish for adults and not too grown up for the kids. Reminds me of the PG movies they used to make all the time in the 80s and 90s. Very much a spiritual descendent of ET. Maybe Hollywood will take the hint and start making real family films again. It also kind of reminded me of Ad Astra, which is a massively underrated masterpiece. A slower film, more adult oriented and contemplative. That and Arrival are the best space/alien movies of the past 15 years. Project Hail Mary is probably in the top 5. I’d rank it higher than Interstellar.

Many times you have obligations during a day and cannot be glued to the screen at all times. Managing entries & exits can be challenging this way I only kept the order cause I knew I was gonna be out for about 4 hours, still the situation could've changed and not meet the criteria and I would've gotten the entry anyway and maybe hit SL. Situation actually changed slightly and not sure I'd take the entry but will monitor it now closely ✍️

The goal of yours shouldn't be to buy THE bottom & sell THE top The goal should be to buy NEAR the bottom & sell NEAR the top, even if it is +-20% from each & +- a few weeks/months from each Because the meat of the move can still be hundreds of % in the middle

Peak portfolio value is just one data point on a long equity curve; an arbitrary high-water mark that adds no actionable insight. Benchmarking decisions against that fleeting peak only invites comparison to past outcomes you can’t change. Rather, look at your equity curve as a diagnostic feedback loop, the product of your process, not a target in itself. Optimize the process and decision rules for the hand you hold right now. Process > Outcomes.
