@henrl is this actually true? i always assumed there was some air traffic control-like system (with mandatory compliance) in place for marine traffic
English

@henrl this is a bad idea unless you are familiar w the bay:
- wind, routinely blows > 20mph after 1pm on TI this time of year.
- tides (1.5+ kt peak during ebb / flood)
and need a marine radio.

I've been impressed by @adamdotnew so I had it model an aerospace fastener. Results were good and Opus 4.7 is great!

Eileen Gu recently went viral for her *surprising* Teen Vague rant on the use of AI in CAD design
"sure they can write a kernel and extrude some shapes, but the feature tree and drawings? they are just the products of a much larger engineering process. it’s like, you’re trying to build a machine that can only write down the answer. you need to solve the context problem first before we see meaningful integration of ai in mechanical design."

Super excited to announce our 165M Series B at @sundayrobotics to help us move from demos to a shipping product.
It's pretty insane the amount of progress over the last year, a year ago it was just a few people working together in a house in Mountain View.
We are still hiring aggressively across a bunch of different roles, and if you've shipped hardware before we would love to meet you!

🇨🇦 Canadians in SF 🇺🇸
Last week, I was lucky to be surrounded by 150 of some of the best Canadians in San Francisco
Good people should meet good people, so I kept the "Canadians in Eh I" series going
From early engineers at OpenAI and Perplexity to first-time founders and public company CEOs
The room was buzzing with energy.
Moving to the states isn’t easy.
No visa guarantees. No obvious playbook.
Canadians take a real leap to be here.
But once you’re building, it’s hard to imagine being anywhere else.
Canadians are the hidden cheat code for building, hiring, and investing.
Amazing to see how many journeys started in Canada and are now thriving here in the states 🇺🇸.
Big thanks to @lighthousehq_ and @jcarrharris for sponsoring!
🍁 If you’re a Canadian working on eh I in SF or NYC and want in on the next one, reply with an “eh” in the comments. 🍁
