most people building for factories have never stepped foot in one. so... we're fixing that 🫡 this summer, @MorellCarson and I are driving across America touring 100+ factories. no sales, no slide decks, just listening & learning. this thread is a log of all we're seeing on the shop floor: real operators, scrappy problem solving, and signs of an American manufacturing comeback. 🇺🇸 👇 I will continue adding our updates below:

So it seems all of the Raspberry Pi retailers have purchase limits… who wants to go with me to Micro Center in Santa Clara when I’m in town and buy a Pi for me? We can go together, I’ll pass my card along at the checkout and I’ll treat to ice cream.

Is anyone seriously working on a time machine? Is there a venture backed startup working on time travel as a service or product? I bet @Andercot would know if there were.

Your company's QMS documentation should be a private git (or similar) repo. Use Cursor with office extensions to manage and modify it using an agreed upon model. Storing everything in a limited access windows or OneDrive folder with nested folders out the ass deserves a slap upside the head with your paper copy calibration certificate binder!

5 years ago my company went public. In order to get the deal done I gave up my board seat as a bargaining chip with the new suits. I also didn’t have the resume for a real C Suite title at an OTC pubco (lol) so I agreed to a novelty one: CTO. Now the company I built with my friends had real execs with real exec experience the market would love. At the first board meeting, when I met our new CEO and team in person, I wore this hoodie so they knew what I was all about. I spent the next 18 months execution mogging every one of them with Oren and signing off my emails with LFG and other things they didn’t understand, while they ran everything they touched into the ground. Just found this thing while packing up stuff and it brought all the memories back. I was sure my wife had thrown away all my ironic hoodies years ago. Was a hell of a run.
