The reason almost all startups fail is that the founders are incompetent and clueless as to how to run a startup. The failure mode is almost always the founders being making stupid choices and not being proactive when it’s required, because, again, they have no clue what they’re doing. The failure modes of startups are not something like “running out of money.” You run out of money because you can’t raise because, mostly likely, your idea is stupid or you don’t have what it takes to execute. So, it’s very misguided for any young person with little experience to start a startup. You’ll likely only make a fool of yourself because you have no clue what you’re doing. All of this is in the same vain as jschlatts advice to aspiring YouTubers. Don’t do it. The ones who really have it in the to succeed will do it even if their heroes tell them they’ll fail.

Op is right, we have millions of miles of ponds and waterways that can be harvested on rotation for biomass that is composted and spread onto farmland. Imagine how many people this could employ. Imagine how it'd lower costs for farmers and for healthy food.

Swiss chocolate maker Läderach looks to be opening a shop/cafe at 535 N Michigan Ave. Looks like they'd take the Iris Gallerie space -- Not sure if they're relocating or just closing. In the area, Läderach has locations at the Fashion Outlets and Old Orchard Mall

Had the honor and privilege of touring three different Salesforce Towers this week. Salesforce Tower San Francisco, Salesforce Tower Indianapolis, and Salesforce Tower New York. Can't say enough about how joyful I feel using Salesforce products.
