In 2013, Elisa Lam checked into the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, one of the most notorious buildings in America.
Guests complained about her strange behavior. She was moved to a private room.
The last footage ever captured of her shows her in an elevator, pressing multiple buttons, hiding in the corner, moving her hands strangely and appearing to speak to someone who simply is not there.
Her body was found weeks later inside a rooftop water tank that guests had been drinking from.
Toxicology showed zero drugs or alcohol.
No signs of trauma.
The elevator doors never closed during the entire footage.
To this day nobody has a credible explanation.
So what do you think really happened to her?

@Monk2ndbase @mmpadellan No, the claim that President Trump “eliminated Iran from using nukes against the USA” is not accurate. US strikes in June 2025 significantly damaged Iran’s nuclear facilities but did not fully eliminate its program or capabilities.
English

@mmpadellan He eliminated Iran from using nukes against the USA and you useful idiots are criticizing him. Democrats are really dumb or just jackasses. Could be why the jackass is the logo of the Democratic Party.

@BoldenSkip Martin is absolutely right. One of my all-time favorites! A rare INTELLIGENT horror film. Love it.

@bobbeddingfield @AdamJSchwarz Yeah, since you hesitate to acknowledge that trump is incapable of making a mistake, you move onto Biden.
English

@AdamJSchwarz HE'S RIGHT! PERFECT EXAMPLE!! I guess you're exempting all of Biden's gaffes from consideration in this rating.

@DoubleJ69 @dabbs346 1) We actually went into Iraq. Not the case here.
2) Iran has been subjugating their population, and supporting & funding proxy terrorist groups for 4 decades. Don't you think that's worth eradicating & correcting?

Did you know that Whitehall New York is a place where the legend of Bigfoot is actually protected by law.
In 1976 sightings on Abair Road changed this town forever. Local police and state troopers reported a massive creature with glowing red eyes which sparked a legend that Whitehall embraced completely.
Today it is an official Sasquatch Sanctuary.
The Law:
A 2004 ordinance makes it illegal to hunt or harm Bigfoot within town limits.
The Status:
In 2018 the town board voted to make Sasquatch the official town animal.
From 12 foot steel statues to the annual Sasquatch Calling Festival this community protects its most famous resident.
Whether you are a skeptic or a believer one thing is clear. In Whitehall the legend is law.

The other night I finished reading "Tess of the d'Urbervilles" by Thomas Hardy.
This was book #7 this year. My goal is to complete 30.
As always, I'm open to suggestions to add to my TBR. I will read any fiction genres 📚❤️
