Sprayed 30ha of winter wheat last night and this is what I collected. Not sure how we’re going to get crops established this autumn with this sort of slug pressure.

@lucymoosh The new way of life and living conditions more than anything make up for it. Just be sure the job is all it's supposed to be. A lot are not as good as they tell you. Ask to speak to previous employees is the biggest clue.

Day to day quality of living would be drastically better than anywhere we've ever worked before & it's most important. Has anybody moved further away from family to raise their family & can assure me it's not as bad as it feels in my head? 😅

@bencm305 We had the same because he didn't have a nap. Sleep brings more sleep in this house. 13hours a day minimum and we have to wake him at 7 to get up in the mornings

The little one had an hour and a half nap at nursery today...an hour and a half for goodness sake! I mean, its not the end of the world obviously....but crikey I like our evenings on nursery days normally...early bath, early bedtime....yeah thats not happening tonight!

@FarmersWeekly I have never 'come home' I left home, then became a farmer. A new entrant. Remember all those articles you write about new entrants and how had it is to get into the industry. And the ageing work force in farming. These polls dont help.

So far evidence for competition between managed honey bees & wild bees has always thought to be indirect competition for resources. Now evidence is emerging that in areas of high honey bee density & reduced flower availability honey bees are actually robbing wild bees of pollen.

Can't help but think if 80% of the stock put forward at rare breed sales wasn't so badly bred then the breeds involved might not be so rare 🤔🤔🤔

@SpudSlingsby @navaratnampart1 As a 'white Christian male' I would guess that you are very rarely in these situations, so much so that you can recall the individual incidences. If you are always the minority and always ignored or worse abused for your appearance then there is a big problem.

@navaratnampart1 Equally I've been in places where white English Christian is very much the minority. No drama, I just accept my surroundings and act accordingly. I don't understand the need to have one of everything everywhere all the time.

If you are at a meeting, conference or event and the lack of diversity makes you uncomfortable, then that’s the first step on your journey for being aware of diversity, equity and inclusion. We must start to question the environment we currently engage in for eg. agriculture, vet

@Pxfarms I'm sure you will have a good laugh at this, but do you think the continuous cultivation of arable land has something to do with the ditches and drains being full of silt. In a relatively flat area, soil shouldn't really be washing into drains?

Environment agencies lack of maintenance work hiding behind the environment is becoming telling.
