A delegation from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), Prof. Appolinary Kamuhabwa, to discuss ongoing activities and explore future collaboration in capacity building. Speaking during the meeting, Prof. Kamuhabwa expressed his sincere appreciation for TIKA’s significant contributions to MUHAS and noted that the university is looking forward to expanding opportunities for future cooperation. Through this partnership, TIKA has supported the School of Dentistry by improvinginfrastructure and funding capacity-building initiatives, including specialized staff training at Ankara University.

Vituo vilivyotembelewa ni Shule ya Msingi Buguruni Viziwi inayohudumia watoto wenye changamoto ya usikivu, pamoja na Kituo cha Kulea Watoto Kurasini kinachohudumia watoto wenye changamoto mbalimbali. Akikabidhi msaada huo kwa niaba ya wanawake wa MUHAS, Bi. Emiliana Kanjanja alitoa mahitaji muhimu yakiwemo boksi 12 za taulo za kike na boksi 2 za nepi (diapers). Msaada huo ni utekelezaji wa ahadi iliyotolewa wakati wa ziara ya awali iliyofanyika tarehe 4 Machi 2026. Akizungumza kwa niaba ya wanafunzi wenzake, kiongozi wa wanafunzi wa Shule ya Msingi Buguruni Viziwi alisema kuwa wanafunzi wa kike walikuwa na uhitaji mkubwa wa taulo za kike, hivyo msaada huo umefika kwa wakati muafaka. Alieleza kuwa wanafunzi wanathamini msaada huo na kuwaombea watoa msaada. Aidha, akizungumza kwa niaba ya watoto wa Kituo cha Kulea Watoto Kurasini, Afisa Mfawidhi, Bi. Farida Ismail, aliwashukuru na kuwapongeza wanawake wa MUHAS kwa moyo wao wa kujitolea pamoja na kutimiza ahadi waliyoitoa.
