Up until December, 2022 has been an awesome year for us in Rwanda. Sadly I depart for UK on Monday to start treatment for breast cancer. Right now I’m trying to focus on the next step and appreciate all the wonderful people around me - will keep you posted ❤️ @2wsphotography

@gmhales Gavin, this is so beautifully expressed. I’ve been feeling a bit traumatised by it somehow being the 1 year anniversary and this was cathartic to read. And our little person still asks when we can go home too 😢

Lots of one year anniversaries at the moment. Do you mind if I share mine?

I would like to go and get a massage, a manicure, a pedicure, a facial, a haircut and maybe a sauna and steam and then wrap up in a big fluffy bathrobe and watch some shit tv and then fall asleep in an ENORMOUS hotel bed and sleep for 12 hours. ALONE. That’s it.

@hethrs Was that following international travel rather than eg isolating because of close contact with someone with Covid in the UK?

"Police stepping up checks to ensure people complying with isolation rules." I don't think I've heard anything previously about the police checking people are isolating.
